my breakfast is a cup of wholegrain oats and scoop of protein powder, water to mix, and a chopped up kiwifruit. YUM. Oh, and a coffee with it too - black.
Yeah, but your 'diet' can hardly be considered as an example for normal people. <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> -
1/2 cup of Oats should be around 40g so Protein in that would be around 7-8 grams.

Fibre would be much higher in Hooroo's case as he is using Wholegrain Oats with the husk still on.
Oats are a super food IMO. I know most of you guys will baulk at the fat/sugar in this but I make up Oat bars similar to those OSM things and as a lasting snack they fill you up no end. The energy release is excellent for sports as you get a mixture of fast and slow release. One of these when skiing/ boarding keeps you going for hours without feeling hungry.

1 cup wholegrain oats
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup flour
1 cup coconut
1 1/2 cups chopped dried fruit (Sultanas and apricots work well)
1 tablespoon cinnamon

Mix all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl making sure it is evenly mixed up (or it won't bind)

1/2 cup golden syrup
200g butter

melt together in microwave and stir then add a dash of vanilla essence

Mix wet into dry and coat everything. If it seems a little dry a dash of fruit juice or water will help.

Throw the whole lot into a baking paper lined baking dish (you will find a good size that suits) or tin so that when flattened down and smoothed out on top it is a good couple of cms thick

Bake at 160C for about 20-30 mins. You will tell by looking at it when it is ready. You will also smell when it is ready.

Remove from oven and slice up in tin while still hot (I get about 16 pieces). Let it cool. -

Smash them out and be proud Hooroo. Maybe try and wait til you're in a lift. My oldest son ( almost three ) ripped out some absolute beauties at his brothers birthday party over the weekend. The kind that would be impressive coming from a grown man. Naturally all the guys laughed and the women folk told him off. Hilarity.
