Caring about the party and personal ambition, before caring about the electorate is what got all of them into this mess, since Howard became unpopular enough to let a guy like Rudd step in.
Headed in this instance by Dutton, Cash, Cormann, and Fifield.
Yes Howard went on too long and should have resigned, but ditching him because it was "time" is utterly retarded. I'll blame a fat, spoilt and clueless electorate for that. Idiots.
Those you mentioned aren't in the same league as Turnbull.

Remember the Aussie pm has changed so it’s time to check your smoke alarm batteries .
Stolen from somewhere I can’t remember.
My Facebook feed had the same joke posted about four-five times in a row. Along with a bunch of other unfunny political jokes.

Earlier on in this thread maybe?
Was it? Damn . No worries it’ll be relevant again in a couple of months so I’ll post it then.

I'm not actually sure, just assumed so.

Keep it on your speed dial.
Morrison is a fluffier bunny than Turnbull, so I doubt whether he'll be partial to an election before he's had time to rack up a few months in office. Probably knows they're fucked at the next one so will just piss along until he's got some more investment properties laid in.

Is Chelsea Manning going to be allowed into Australia?
Looks unlikely. We have character tests for visas for a reason.

If I was a parent in Australia I would be fair shitting myself over what is being pushed at the schools at the moment.
Basically mentally unwell/brainwashed 'professionals' whose purpose is to go into your children's school and attempt to make your children mentally unwell in order to justify their job.
Video starts at 30 seconds.

Morrison is right in that teachers should not replace parents in this regard.
The problem is in cases where parents are unsupportive of a child with confusion around their gender or sexual orientation, and try to force the kid into their idea of normal.
Pentecostal Churches - one of which Morrison is a member - have historically been a type are one of those types of organisations where you could easily alienate a child who has trouble dealing with these issues on their own, and no support network.
There's a reason the suicide rates among the LGBTQI community is so high.
The conservative side of our politics has been against the "Safe Schools" and other programs from Day 1 because they want to just "let kids be kids" - provided those kids are white, straight, affluent, and therefore like to be Liberal voters.
Some of the hippy dippy shit is insane, but let's not pretend that hemp-wearing transvestites are marching around school yards, enlisting any kid with long hair into a Flower Power Army ready to storm the Bastions of Gammon and bring socialism to all.

The majority of kids having trouble with their gender just turn out to be gay. Genuine gender dysphoria is actually very rare. And it is the suicide rates of those people that is high, I wouldn't conflate that with all gay people.
I do get that some of these kids don't have supportive parents, but it is absolutely not the job of the school to replace them. Schools really need to stop trying to parent kids, and just go back to focusing on actual education. It's not fair on teachers, and it also gives some of the ideologically possesed teachers free reign to indoctrinate young people with their idiotic ideas.
I have concerns around the way some of these people are proactively preaching gender as a "social construct" to impressionable kids - that is just confusing them when they shouldn't need to be giving this kind of stuff any consideration at all.
@NTA I know your last sentence is hyperbole but my concern isn't socialism in this instance, it's the well being of the next generation of kids - particularly males.
