"I hope its a human" oh sweet baby jesus!!!
Don't get me started on theses gender neutral wackos taking over the world rapidly, but this randomly reminded me of a video clip from a while ago of some US chat show with women claiming to be 9years pregnant, alien-night-stand of course, shock horror nothing showed on a ultrasound scan...would they believe it?
Pandering to the needs and indulging the 0.00001% of people who are like this is a really dangerous and slippery slope. I don't like it at all. Why can't people be non PC and call them out for the nutjobs they are ?
Feel sorry for the kid, this is the world its going to grow up in and it won't even know whether it's a boy or a girl as it will have to make that decision itself regardless of what bits it has!
ArrrrrrghI genuinely think it's a form of child abuse.
If you're born a bloke and decide at 18 you want to do a Caitlyn Jenner then fill your fucken boots but for people like this to label their child gender non specific or whatever is fucked.
The biggest victims in the recent surge of transgender ideas is gender atypical kids. Tom boys etc, who quite often turn out to be gay (but not always!). They're being told they should transition to the other gender as they don't fit the stereotypical mould of what a girl or a boy should be, which is patently ridiculous as there's obviously plenty of overlap between the sexes.
There's a growing number of people whose lives have been basically ruined as they started hormone blockers etc when young, and now realise they do not have gender dysphoria at all. I reckon there'll be a fair few lawsuits in 10-15 years time as young people that were persuaded to transition take those people to court for damages.
The phrase let kids be kids could not be more important right now.
Yep and gutted that one of the people that started this nonsense was a kiwi .
The way things ended for this guy should have been enough of a warning for parents today I would have thought.
-
@jegga it's incredible that case didn't put an end to this nonsense once and for all. That people decided to build a politcal movement around it just beggars belief. Such a sad story.

I saw the poor guy interviewed not long before he took his own life . It was really sad , he was understandably really angry that his parents and Money had forced this on him .

Someone had to take over the ‘ex player with truly baffling comments’ mantle when Mex retired to compensate for Nisbos astonishing blandness. Marshall has done this with aplomb. I don’t know why there is so much hate for him.

The herald deleted a story claiming he was trying to start a beer label with those words as beer names.
"Boomfa beer, what you drink when you want the world to think of you as a twat".
-
@jegga I find that incredibly odd. Boomfa might have a chance as a unique word, but common use words like yes boy or me oh my that have a proven history of past usage...yikes. Usually for something like that it would have to be an actual logo or individual stylised version using a certain font.
This was recently tested in the US courts. A twat of an author tried to trademark the word cocky, and sent notices to other authors to cease and desist usage, even those whose books had come out before hers. IIRC the US office initially granted the TM, but that was reversed by the courts, and the author lost pretty much on every point she'd put forward. -
@Mokey I hope it cost her a fortune. I loathe these kind of legal trolls, have you heard about the patent troll who claimed he patented the podcast ?
As for Marshall the beer story is back up on the herald,

@Mokey although 'boomfa' has been used for many years...or my dad should have trademarked it when I was a teenager!
@MN5 I think the main issues people have with him is his over excited telling of what was right or wrong about a ref call, when in fact it was usually the opposite.
He is good to listen to on RS when they have him though
-
@jegga People try and copyright words all the time. Usually they get shut down and told to piss off, but occasionally some get through.
I would be interested to see how 'Boomfa' beer sold. Personally I think it would be entirely reliant on taste/price, because the word is not nearly as cool as he clearly thinks it is.
-
@taniwharugby Haha, there you go then. Prior usage.

A couple that spring to mind are “ let’s get ready to rumble “ and the article mentions Paris Hilton doing the same with “that’s hot”.
I don’t think his are unique enough to him though . -

Never underestimate a shit beer with a foolproof marketing campaign aimed at the lowest common denominator.

I thought you liked Leigh Hart?
The very first name which popped into my head when reading that was "Wakachangi" - and I had to double-check it was you that'd written it, as it seemed a laser-focused jab at that shit beer and shit ... "comedian"(?). -

My recycling bin suggests my son and I find it more than quite tolerable.
Regardless of good or bad Boomfa tastes I will hold drinkers of it in the same amount of contempt I hold men who watch married at first sight .

@canefan gotta say, when I was living in the UK and had been drinking Fosters, Stella, XXXX and whatever other tap beers they made there for a year, when I played for London Kiwis and they had £1 stubbies of Export Gold, I thought it was the best tasting beer ever...
I am slowly finding alot of the Craft beers are starting to go too far and I'm not really enjoying the taste, particularly when you are paying a shit load more.
Beers like Export (Wakachangi, Sol, Corona et al) have thier place!
