Fatbusting: Hooroos log
-
MvJ preferred your posts about running, but I certainly understand the eating required after a night out with Duluth

Where I live it is hills in all directions, so I have to run up and down hills when I go for a run. It's no fun at the time but, even if you go really slowly, you get an unbeatable sense of achievement if you make the top of a hill without yielding to the temptation to walk. -

I agree. I will go for a jog tonight but it will only be a 2 miler. The track we do is all up and down with only a couple of flat straights <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> -

Massive Wagon wobble

Went out with Duluth on the gas and finished the night with Southern fired chicken and ribs... moreish little blighters those Ribs.

Massive hangover today so I have snuck away A Large Big Mac Combo, A quater pounder and a 20 pack of nuggets. Feeling rather full but content!

Jesus when you fall off the wagon you do it in style mate! -
Right back onto the Wagon and have attached an extra Mule.

Excellent run last night. 4 miles but was able to power up the final hill. Was pretty stoked as I usually plod a bit quicker than walking pace.

Dinner was two large tomatos and two peaches as I was too knackered and never feel like eating after a late run.

Breakfast was something that resembled a thimble full of greek Yoghurt and berries. Bloody hungry but coffee helps. Boxing at lunchtime today. -
6 MILES, 6 MILES, 6 MILES!

Wahhoooeee.

A bit sore today but am stoked that I have reached the 10k mark. Next rung in the ladder is 8 miles but I have been told to stick with 6 miles-ish until the 31st of August and then we can push it a bit more.

Feeling ALOT fitter but I doubt that I have lost weight -
fuck I soooo hate running. Good work Hooroo - keep going!
Same here Bartman. I'm lucky that I have a running partner who is very motivated and there are plenty of tracks through the forest to prevent the boredom. Only problem is that it's all up and down with only a few flats, but I assume that will mean that I will be able to go a bit further on a normal flat road -

That is quality. Good work them. -

I did a bit of it a few years back and it ruined me. Thing that makes me laugh is how big the guys are without being heavy....if you catch my drift. You go there and say ok i am 14 stone and that makes you a cruiser weight, not even a light heavy weight or anything...and the guys that fight at cruiser weight seem massive. -

Good for your stability too. Trail running is almost always a harder workout than straight road or track.

Good work big man! -

Cheers mate, interesting to here about stability as I have a bung knee and piss weak ankles, so hopefully this will help.

Another 6 miler on the cards tonight -
when you hit Whanga next Hooroo I'll have to take you out on a few of the tracks in the foirestry for running on then - the only place I can run now, because it bores the crap out of me on the road - so if I get the inane urge to run, it's a mountina bike / run thing in the hills. Lotsa fun!

But I still hate running! -

I'm still enjoying running as I feel myself getting fitter and I'm 'stronger' for every run I do so far. Would love to go over the tracks round Whanga, so I will hold you to that offer Thanks

Still hate running though. -
Girly run last night. 2 miles to cricket practise and then bowled in the nets for an hour and had a bat until I got a full bunger in the ankle. It still smarts and the bruising has crept round to the sole of my foot.

Cricket this arvo though, so will hopefully run it off -
Drowned my sorrows tonight. Played cricket this afternoon and batted at 5. Was seeing it like a basketball and hit 11 off 4 balls. I dislocated my knee hitting my second 4 and I am pissed off.
Won't take long to get back into it as straight pressure on the knee is fine so I will be able to row and run with a brace. Still pretty pissed off as I feel so much fitter -
you dislocated your knee batting - wearing spikes or sometrhing and foot being stuck...??? I haven't heard of anything like that before - although in my time at the crease reackon I hace swung that hard my shoulders have been in danger of leavinf the sockets!

Get well soon! -
Recurring injury... it's a piss-weak knee and I was driving on the back foot and didn't have my weight over my knee properly.

I am wondering if I wasn't so over-weight if it would have collapsed like it did
