What's Wrong With Reiko Ioane?
-
The cross kick is horribly overdone, particularly by Barrett. Ioane being shit in that one game is not that big a deal, but it's also not down to the midfield or lack of cross kicks. It's because he dropped just about every single thing that was thrown to him.

Well he needs to hold onto the ball first, made 3 or 4 handling errors on Saturday. Hansen needs to just keep playing him, he’s played 1 meaningful game in 2 months
At least one of those was due to a horrible pass from Goodhue, who didn't bother to look where he was passing and, therefore, threw it behind Reiko

@SammyC I need to watch again because things did change. I am a ALB fan and would like to see him at 2/5 over SBW. ALB is able to make ground in tight spaces where SBW is more of a straight runner who hopes to offload. Still think we need to make more ground in the forwards to set up the backs.

@junior how often do our guys throw passes without looking expecting someone to be there?
Similarly that clip that lead to the SA try, Pollard didnt look for his pass...alot of what these guys do is instinctive and based on expectations and trust of those around them to be in the right spot...which obviously requires the pass to be in the right spot too...

Does this really need it's own thread where you just copy the whole article?
Is it uncommon for a new thread to be lead off by an online story?! You don't need to agree with it for it to be a valid discussion point.
It wasn't about the topic - you had copy and pasted the whole article initally before it got edited.

Oh right. I wouldn't have the first clue how to do it any other way. I used to know my way around TSF pretty well but these dya even on desktop I find it a bit difficult.

They do it a lot, which is fine for short simple passes. However, the one I'm referring to was a 10m plus pass that didn't hit its mark. There was no need to throw a no-looker there, as Reiko was already in space and so there was no need for any deception.

@sparky You're like a click bait algorithm that's stuck on "emphatic mode". Every thing you post is completely over the top, like a distillation of the last 24 hours' media hype.
He's been about the same as most All Blacks this year, and was fine against Canada.
-
Reiko Ioane is the worst All Black Winger i have seen in the last 2 weeks!!!
It's completely obvious he spends too much time playing video games. Also it's blatantly obvious that his brother not making the team has messed with his head, and he is planning to move to France.
The Blues broke him. They are the anti-development.

@mariner4life Even Beaudy watch catching Blues-itis towards the end of that match, slow and clumsy

@Machpants getting prepared early...

What I find more strange is that no-one else thinks it's odd Mo'unga didn't try a single kick-pass last week. Unless I missed them?
I think that is actually a good thing. That tactic has been done to death and rarely works.
And yet it's been working for lots of other sides all the Cup. France, most recently, against a fairly sturdy US defence. And for Hadleigh Parkes against the Aussies just before that.
You'd be a mug to resist using an effective weapon because it's used a lot (precisely because it is an effective weapon).
If you were looking for things "done to death", then mauls off line-outs would be number one. And the ABs better use those too, if opportunity arises. Even though they are as boring as f**k.
