Do not, under any circumstances, be talked into seeing Last Christmas.
I was going to give tickets to this to someone special.
Certainly not somebody who would look to pass it on the very next day.

Finally saw Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Really good!
I struggle to believe that you a. saw a movie made after 1990 and that had a budget of more than $10m or b. that you liked it.
Knives Out: Riaan Johnson's next movie after some little sci fi thing he did that sent people into a tizzle.
A murder mystery. I knew nothing about this before going to see it, I didn't know who was in the cast, what it was about (thought it was a horror actually) and it turned out to be a bloody good and funny movie.
All the cast are having a blast. Daniel Craig almost redeemed himself for Spectre with his role as a Southern detective although it took me a few minutes to adjust to his over the top accent. Captain America is very un-Captain America, Michael Shannon was mostly un-Michael Shannon, and Don Johnson, Jamie Lee Curtis and Christopher Plummer were great as the oldies. Last but not least the main character was played by Ana De Armas.
The plot is silly and is mostly meant to be silly and it's punctuated with some belly laughs.

Family movie night: The Lion King.
Great motion capture and CGI. Pretty good considering its almost a shot-by-shot remake with a couple of extra elements.
Yeah looks good, but missed out the crazy Hyena, which was the best part of the original

Frozen 2.
Amazing visuals, music even better than the first film, lots of funny moments from Josh Gad's Olaf, a bold, dramatic plot and some great messages, this is a film that will make a lot of money and be talked about for years.
Very dark in places for a family movie, lacked the charm, innocence and narrative simplicity of the original Frozen.
4 Snowmen out of 5.

Just watched about the grossest gross out comedy ever. The Brothers Grimsby. Criminally wasted supporting cast (two gorgeous gals in Penelope Cruz and Annabelle Wallis) some funny bits, some really unfunny bits. One of those movies that is annoying because you see the bones of a much better, funnier movie trying to escape the bog of stupid shit.

Yeah I thought it was fun, although disappointing to find out it's not based on a true story.

Jane Leeves, aka Daphne from the sitcom Fraiser, played a saucy bisexual dancer, who had a threesome with Willem Dafoe, in the great film To Live and Die in LA.
Without wishing to be picky, she could not have a threesome with William Dafoe, it would have to be William Dafoe and...
I am only being this pedantic because 1) I absolutely loved this film and 2) I cannot remember Daphne being in it.

Yeah, I had to look at IMDb as I couldn't remember her in the movie either (there is a photo of her character, which doesn't help me). But it is years since I've watched it.
