Wales vs Italy, Six Nations 2020
-
Sam Warburton returns.....
as the Water-carrier. Huge cheer from the Millennium stadium crowd as he runs on.
-
Falaetu doing lots of good work for Wales.
Poor pass from Tomos Williams blows a try with the line open.
-
Bit of space for Italy. Good work by Halfpenny to cope with a sliding kick.
Gives away a penalty just before half time.
-
Line out. Italy secure the ball. Penalty advantage. Wyn Jones tried to kill the ball. Free attack. No advantage. Back to the penalty.
-
Kicked out. Line out again. Catch and drive. But pushed into touch. Crazy to throw it to front of the line in that situation.
Half time. 21-0 to Wales.
-
Faf de Klerk is one of the half-time experts. But he is sitting there like a statue not really saying anything much. Nods along a bit. Does he have a hangover? Zero chemistry between this panel.
-
Which BBC executive decided to let Mad Bastard Krusty in the commentary box?
Even more annoying than Justin Marshall.
-
Italy getting nothing from this organised Welsh defence in the opening minutes of the Second Half.
-
Poor passing from North.
-
Italy with a scrum in front of the posts. 5 metres out.
Robust Welsh defence for a couple of phases. Win the penalty. Chance gone.
-
Justin Tipuric has made 13 tackles and missed none so far.
-
Turnover won by Tipuric. Good pass by Biggar. Tompkins in a hole. Italian defence busted. Good finish for the third try.
28-0 to Wales.
-
North with the 4th. His 40th try for Wales. Easy.
No, ruled out by the TMO because the meerest knock on by Tompkins. North back on 39.
-
Why are Italy even in the 6 Nations Rugby comp..?.normally I would be the first to promote the global game ,but after 20 years since their inclusion , they never even looked like anything other than wooden spooners..
-
Italy looking really poor and not offering much. This game has gone flat.
6 Nations needs to add possibility to relegation down to European Nations Cup to make things more interesting.
-
Five minutes to go. Can Wales score the bonus point try?
-
North juggles it but eventually holds on. He has the muscle to power over for Wales' 4th try of the game and his 40th try for his country.
Halfpenny with the kick. 35-0. Feels like a lot more.
-
Jonathan Davies names Justin Tipuric as his Man of the Match. Obvious choice. 21 tackles. Done well at the breakdown.
