imposing any religious observance, or for prohibiting the free exercise of any religion'*
Sounds to me like they are policing assemblies of groups of people, which is arguable on it’s merits. Claiming it prohibits freedom of religion stretches reality elastic and is it’s own degree of hysteria.
I quoted the Constitution., I'd appreciate it if you didn't misrepresent what I said.
I always wondered what it would be like to live in a dystopian shithole.
I hear you there, brother. I’d like to pretend the authorities haven’t been bashing down doors arresting anybody with a Bible or prayer mat. And I’d like to fool myself that somebody with a smart phone didn’t film these raids, before MP4s were confiscated and their owners thrown into gulags.
Yeah I get it, you don't believe in personal liberty.
Check out Wild, Wild Country on Netflix!

As much as any anti-vaxxer. There should be a Typhoid Mary in every primary school, I’ve always said. For liberty’s sake.

@antipodean I get why you liked it. I had a few issues with it, but overall it was well researched and well written and I'm staggered that it would be pulled. My opinion of his conclusions are totally irrelevant!
It poses an alternative viewpoint, which is always useful.
The trouble for me is that I have no way of knowing how selective are the stats referenced, and how comprehensively author(s) have read international data.
My hunch is that IF, and it's a HUGE if, all citizens kept their distance, and stayed at home for 14 days if they had any symptoms, the impact would be hugely less than the worst projections. Schools OK, Work at office if well and couldn't work at home, limits on numbers in clubs, pubs, cafes, restaurants, shops, but stay open. The 'AT RISK' stay in their homes.
Trouble in UK is dumbasses, in particular the under 30s, who are literally embracing the virus.

I heard an interview on radio yesterday when the caller said he was unclear on whether he should go out or not. After the host pointed out it was as clear as reading 4 sentences, the caller said it wasn't specific enough on what journeys were essential.
The caller then complained the government hadn't set up a helpline to give individual advice on what constituted an essential journey.
The dumbest of fluffybunnies.

Probably better in this thread.
Post under investigation as it violated rules... available anywhere else?
The article is coming under intense scrutiny and criticism now.

I was going to post that, so thanks.
I don't know who is right, but the rebuttal seems rather personal, playing the man and elitist. He may be right but his style is not convincing at all. -
@Baron-Silas-Greenback to be honest, I dont think anyone is right or wrong, some people are trying to remain calm amid all this shitstorm of mis-information (on both sides - if there are sides) and make a bit of sense.

Why are Asian people so much more obedient? Do they have more pride and nationalism? Have they had less personal freedoms so doing what Govt says is normal. Is there a level of fear?
How do those govts put shit in place so quick like if you have the Rona they give u a phone and track you. They text you, call u and send people to check on you. They build hospitals in weeks. They just get shit done. Interesting times.
