A leading German epidemiologist who predicted the coronavirus crisis in Europe is now calling for governments to end the lockdown.
“People under 50 are very, very unlikely to die or get seriously ill from the coronavirus,” he says. “We have to let them get infected so they can develop immunity.”
Doesn't he watch the news?
Plenty of under 50s getting seriously ill and dying in the UK
Being a scientist, I think he means as a percentage of those exposed. Say, 0.01% would still mean 4,400 out of 44 million. Which is a lot in actual terms. Afraid that will be deemed collateral damage.

Isn't this the same gaff Prince Charles made?
So NHS staff being put up at hotels so they can avoid a long commute are also commiting the same "gaff"?
Not really sure where you're going with this, but my understanding is they aren't being joined by their family.

@MiketheSnow our friend's hotel is full of local nurses who are staying there to avoid bringing infection home.

My daughter, a nurse, caught coronavirus when staying at a hotel/hostel. Mild symptoms. She was advised to recover (with isolation) at her family home and not use the hostel.

@Victor-Meldrew sorry to hear, hope she's OK. I had wondered this about them staying in hotels, seems to be working so far OK for those he has staying but risky if they end up unwell in his hotel.

Sorry to read that. Hopefully she's recovered from it.
Still not sure if we're saying the same or different things.
I'll rephrase my question.
Is it a smart move for BJ's pregnant partner to join BJ wherever he is?
Especially if there's a possibility she may drop during his convalescence?

Hard to say, but she has already had covid-19, so once he is testing negative, no further issues.

Your love is like bad medicine
Bad medicine is what I need, whoa
Shake it up just like bad medicine
There ain't no doctor that can cure my disease
Bad medicine
I ain't got a fever, got a permanent disease
And it'll take more than a doctor to prescribe a remedy
I got lots of money but it isn't what I need
Gonna take more than a shot to get this poison out of me
And I got all the symptoms count 'em one, two, three
First you need (that's what you get for falling in love)
Then you bleed (you get a little but it's never enough)
And when you're on your knees (that's what you get for falling in love)
Now, this boy's addicted 'cause your kiss is the drug, whoa
Your love is like bad medicine, bad medicine is what I need, whoa
Shake it up just like bad medicine… -
