@SynicBast don't like day's off huh? No empathy for a day from work? No upside to people incentivised to have happy thoughts relating to our soldiers? Can t combine solemn remembrance with a day to spend with loved ones?😉
sorry should have made it clear. 25th April is a day of solemn remembrance only for me personally and is the date i observe it. I have no problem with people getting the monday off if ANZAC Day falls on a saturday or sunday. But there have been calls to have the actual commemorative services and observance done on the monday in those cases which i do not agree with.

I think there was enough push back to 'Mondayising' ANZAC Day that I think they would cause an uproar if they tried to change the actual day of rememberence to make it a week day!

And to bring things back on topic, what an inadvertent indicator of the difference between the ANZAC countries.
One is moaning because they want a day off work, and one is desperate to get back to work!🙂
I have seen the Bludgers and it ain't Us.

I think it's actually impossible to catch covid19 in cairns now

Over 75% of confirmed cases in Australia have now recovered. Only 45 in ICU across the country.

Known new cases are in single figures now - some states recording zero new cases. We're nearly 2 weeks post-easter and that has to count for something.
Do you count 'probable cases' in Oz?
Here they are people that reported symptoms and have a connection to a positive test but tested negative themselves.

I don't think they are on the site i'm using for data.

No. They are confirmed cases, hospitalised, ICU, dead, recovered.

About 20% of our case numbers are 'probable'. Would make the comparisons change a bit (although I tend not to put much stead in case comparisons anyway because of the different counting/testing etc)

Well my kids will be going after week 5, home schooling (Prep and Y3), and trying to work from home does not bloody work. It hasn’t helped all the IT systems have been busted either.

Home schooling has been better today and yesterday as the other half only works Mon-Wed so she carried the load the past two days, but still not that bloody great.
The teachers have been good, but all the content they prepared over the holidays for distribution via the schools One Note system couldn't be uploaded, so it all needed to be altered and then sent via email. As you say, getting them into school for a couple of days at least would be ideal.
