Ermmm....man bun.
Guilty. Throw away the key. @Bones too.

In true Fern tradition, I shall now give my opinion having seen none of the evidence. To my mind the questions that need to be asked are:- Why did the police want to stop them - does that stand up? Secondly, did they speed off or did they just pull up at the nearest safe place. After that what was the police behaviour and what was their behaviour also.
Further to the first question though is that no matter why you think you’re being pulled, you comply. Questions about the why come later.

Ha ha, that's the same car we have - A class in Black. It's probably got the 'Night Pack' option (18 inch rims, blacked out windows and black detail around windows, and importantly electric memory seats).
It's a million miles away from a gangster car, despite being a nice zippy little thing for driving around Tokyo.

So if the car was blacked out how could they see the colour of the driver and racially profile said driver?
Maybe they used the same heightened senses that detected cannabis smell.
The question that is still begging is why did they want the car to stop in the first place? You know, before the dope smoke, the driving on the wrong side and the speeding? Do they stop A Class Mercs as a matter of routine? Or maybe that’s a yes, but only in
blackhigh violent crime neighbourhoods.Fixed it for you. Whether or not they should have been stopped or not is a question worth asking.
But they lost the entitlement to that question when they sped off.
You seem very ready to believe the official line on this. The same people who said they sped off also said the car had blacked out windows (they are tinted in the rear), that they smelled dope smoke (no dope was found and the police refused to administer a test when repeatedly asked to do so), that the car was on the wrong side of the road (it was effectively one lane and they parked on the right hand side of the road which is legal in the UK), that the woman was hysterical (she can be heard shouting to police to be careful because her baby was in the back seat), that she resisted when they put her in handcuffs (for what exactly, she wasn’t driving). They were not charged with speeding, which may be understandable as the van wouldn’t have had any radar equipment. But they could presumably have been charged with dangerous driving or failing to stop, but they weren’t.
Look, I’m hardly a poster boy for BLM. And I don’t even have a problem with profiling really. But if the police are going to use it, own up to it and get public consent for the policy. Don’t invent pretexts and the moment when they realise they’ve made a mistake own it and apologise. I imagine if what the driver was saying is true and he’s been pulled over 14 times he has a right to expect that the police fine tuned their approach a bit.
Edit: Having since seen the man bun, I retract everything. Guilty of crimes against good taste. Take him down.

Texas Realtors Stop Using 'Master Bedroom' Over Slavery Connotations.
This one is weird. In this context, the abbreviated form of Master is Mr, and it is referring to the owners bedroom. As the owner was always male back in the day, the term Master Bedroom was used.
If anything it's sexist, not racist. But, who fucking cares about this shit anyway? Does anyone in the real world actually give a shit?

Will white people still be permitted to own black cars?

It is strange isn't it. Normal people don't care.
Why is it even proposed in the first place?
What do they stand to gain? -

What do they stand to gain?Probably because this stuff appeals to the Woke sections of society who are generally in the top 20% wealth-wise. Good commercial sense to appear virtuous so they'll spend their money with you.

Almost as stupid as the campaign #StandUpToRacism #TakingAKnee for #BlackLivesMatter
Talk about mixed messages

This came up in my YouTube feed today. It went viral 5 years ago. It’s a tragedy the incidents that occurred for Dontre Hamilton and his family and then the child Laylah Peterson and her family, and there’s no doubting the conviction and raw emotion of the time for Chief Flynn. But from a media gotcha attempt, the response is absolutely brilliant.
-
@ACT-Crusader you think he stepped in it? What could the media take from that for their gotcha?

Not at all. I think the reporter/journalist was trying to be cute by asking him about him looking at his phone whilst there was a heated meeting and demonstration associated with the Hamilton death. It was her attempt at a gotcha moment. Happens all the time in politically charged pressers.
But Police Chief didn’t get sucked in (many often do) and gave an answer which I don’t think she or the other journos there were expecting. Great response.
