I hate Wagyu.
Wagyu or actual Japanese like Kobe or Yonezawa? Real Best cattle meat I've eaten. I'm not interested in peasant cuts that have to be cooked slowly for days to make them edible.

I could go on for hours on this list being the moaning old bastard that I am. And loving a stir / troll ...
To be honest the only opinion that I hold likely to cause an explosion of disagreement is that Steve Larkham is the best player I’ve seen.
My unpopular opinion is that he was overrated and doesn't compare with Ella or Lynagh in Oz 10 rankings.

Fireworks
Yeah I don't get fireworks eh. Whoopdeedoo.
In general I'm not much of a fan of fireworks but I saw some awesome ones coming of the old castle set to classical music at Pamplona one year. The problem is I now compare all fireworks against them.
In any normal year I can see fireworks pretty much every night during the middle and every week for most of the rest of the year as I live near Darling Harbour. Good for when I have guests but I just use it so I know what time it is.
Was that during running of the bulls? They'd be my most memorable also
Yup!

My top 3 overrated things:
Cats
Fireworks
TennisFireworks absolutely!
Back on food , the most overrated for me is crab.
Who the fuck wants to work that hard for 50gms of pretty tasteless meat? In a poncho?
Come to NQ and have fresh mud crab with me. I'll absolutely change your mind
Fresh muddie is the food of the Gods, as good as any crab I've ever eaten. Granted I've never eaten the famous Alaskan King crab, and Spanner crab is excellent, but the muddie has more flavour, deep salty sweet bliss
i have had King crab, I'll still take muddy over it

@nzzp I can see where you are both coming from. Brisket done well is bloody good but so are lots of other cuts that are a bit more forgiving and don't ask you to invest so much into the cooking. I reckon he has a point that the investment colours how rewarding it is when you nail it but I agree with you that its still a potentially great eat. I can't dispute what he says about the texture though.
Where I disagree with you is over eye fillet. I never cook it. It's completely the opposite to brisket. Demands zero skill and gives you no psychological reward. Haven't eaten it for years - flavourless baby food for carnivores. Maybe in another two decades when I have no teeth but even then I think I'd rather have a nice bowl of congee
edit. Soup got me thinking. Brisket is good in pho and you can't fuck it up and you still get to spend hours cooking
i am absolutely with you on Eye Fillet. It's garbage. Blows my mind how expensive it is.
Sirloin on the bone is my absolute favourite piece of meat

Yep. King is great in size and lack of effort to get a feed, but not flavour.
I was really hoping not to get involved in a discussion about crabs with you though.

@Paekakboyz what did you do for a personality while the gyms were closed?

Haven't had Yonezawa, not even sure I've tried Kobe tbh. I'm talking about the fatty shite they serve at the butcher for $100/kg and claim it is amazing because a marble score is 11

One of the best attacking 10s of our generation, but can only be considered one of the best 10s if you decide kicking isn't a core duty

Yeah, that shit isn't real Wagyu. They're just using the generic name for fatty beef.
That's the most expensive meat I've ever eaten and by miles the best too. Prepared by a clearly skilled chef too (which helps).

Looks interesting! Not cooked with the usual char.

craft beer is great, but the absolute best thing after any sort of activity in the sun is a cold, bland, mass produced mid-strength lager

I'm a craft beer piston wristed gibbon of epic proportions but there is actually a degree of truth to this. I had a magnificent few steinlagers ( yes this is not a mis print ) when I met the other halfs father for the first time by his pool in Shield Snorters in February. ( after 6pm but I was in Jeans and a shirt and it was still over 30 degrees according to the car ). They were absolutely terrific after a long drive. Some of my even bigger craft beer piston wristed gibbon mates looked down at me after telling them this but options are few and far between in Wairoa.

I might be getting the hang of this thread now. Completely random thoughts thrown out there that people won't like.
Brussels sprouts are actually O.K.
don't mind 'em roasted

They live on the outskirts, not in the town itself.
They're more tanned than me which isn't difficult but still too pale to be either of what you mentioned.
