Lockdown/Covid Check In

@voodoo Now, you should try and aim for the Liv Apartments in Sydney (if this where you'll be quarantining) as one of the security guards I've seen there a few times is a straight up South American hottie
Ola señorita. Eres muy bonita, entrar en mi cuarto?
Suddenly quarantine doesn't sound so bad.

Status Update:
Job hunting has been interesting, and the interviews even more so - I'll leave it at that, although I am not surprised at the lack of basic reading and listening comprehension skills of several interviewers.
Highlight of the last fortnight: someone actually apologetically told me I looked like Lenin, but I took pity on them and didn't admit that was the exact plan.I have a part time gig cleaning the lodge five days a week - minimum wage, but it keeps me focused and active. Plus I get to be THAT GUY when I see people ignoring basic hygiene and not cleaning up after themselves in the kitchen and dining room.
Some decent new arrivals lately, including a young woman from the same part of France where my daughters are living - nice to be able to get my spoken french back on track and up to speed, although she did make the point that my French betrays my age nicely.
Missing some important details there man.
Like how hot the french chick is.He told you. She’s French 😉
You are denying us!

@voodoo I sympathize because they must be crazy busy, but Air NZ have been a covid19 clusterfuck it must be said
you wouldn't think an auto-generated email would be so difficult. It would even have been nice to know there was a process for applying for consideration in the bumping process.
Indeed. How hard would that have been ?
I hope you're gonna take this further.
Yeah Karen, you should ask to speak to the manager.
Edit. I really have to start reading to the end of a thread before I contribute my stunning wit...

Mrs Mariner has taken the boys out.
The in laws got their keys today. They are out moving in to their new house.
I am, for the first time in eons, home alone. 90s alt rock rarked up. A few brews. Video beers with my now locked in mate in Auckland. Warriors on the outdoor screen.
Fucking not bad.

@SynicBast Good lead in work there then. French chicks. Might upset a few of the Polish ones, but meh.
I was best man at a Polish girl's wedding back inthe eighties and ended uphandling her divorce as well, they hold no mystery or fear for me. French women, howver, terrify me (in a good way, as a moth to a flame)
Defo TSF most fascinating poster!

Had a few nice days in Cornwall, Looe, over the weekend, came home early as it seems spending time with my husband is actually a shit idea and looks like I'm probably getting divorced pretty soon.
Sounds like I'm joking but I'm not. Let's hope we don't get lockdown again anytime soon. -

@R-L Jeez girl, that’s awful for you all. I hope you can come through this. Current circumstances don’t make things any easier I know. Good luck girl.
-
@R-L damn, really sorry to hear that
-
@R-L That really is awful and echo the sentiment that it will work out for you.
In a feeble attempt to cheer you up:

I read as "a few days in a Cornwall loo" which would strain any relationship.

Hold your fucking horses people! The lovely Gina from AirNZ just called, and she has managed to get us on a flight on the 27th - 3 days EARLIER than the flight we got bumped from!
Legend!
2020 has still been a bitch, but I'm gonna celebrate one of the small wins tonight
Check out the flights outta PN today - every single one from PN to AKl was canned. Fuck that for a joke.
I'm gonna drive to Auckland next week.
