@Kirwan yeah, i know the story...but five hours of footage is huge, makes you think the script wasn't really locked down...which i guess suggests why wheedon redid stuff if he couldn't see where snyder was going for...or possibly snyder wasn't 100% sure what he was going for at the time he left production
didn't mean a joker in this film...that would have leaked...but are they hinting at another one, white face paint with big red lips...
WB executives wanted a two hour film so they could have more screenings.
Synder was aiming for, I think, just under three hours. Consistent with his other films, slightly longer
The film was supposed to be centred around cyborg who got almost completely cut.

I mean, you hear about films with lots of footage but its different versions of the same or similar scene's....not five hours of different stuff
i wonder how much stuff whedon shot, so what the total for one film was

Have seen some crazy numbers from the cinematographer that a large amount was reshot.

So no theatrical release for Snyder’s Justice League, only streaming on HBO Max?
I've convinced my real life Hack Snyder fluffer friend to pay for my ticket and some junk food otherwise I wasn't going to rewatch - so I hope it goes to cinemas for that reason alone.
I hope I fall asleep midway through to really piss him off.

wont be getting HBOmax just to watch it
-
...and Black Adam...dont know about this one
-
@Kiwiwomble hadn't seen that one yet, thanks.

@Kirwan Did you watch any of the DCEU-con panels? Do you know if they were free?
Just watched the coverage, been too busy.
No cinema release, hopefully after the HBO Max it'll be out on Bluray.
Maybe they'll do a limited cinema run? A roadshow style one, because as much as I don't like Snyder's style, visually, they're definitely movies to be seen in the theatre.

Eventually, maybe. But they are using this drive interest in yet another streaming service. Maybe it'll be used similarly to relaunch struggling cinemas after COVID

I’m not sure if that will work out too well, I tend to think that most of the DC fans who would get HBO Max would already have it since they’re ditching the DC app and moving everything there anyway.
They really should concentrate on their catalogue of HBO shows. I nearly signed up to yet another streaming service this week to get access to those shows in Oz (as they’re on fox who have launched yet another streaming service called Binge for this type of stuff).
