Good news about Whetton's injury
Whetton said he was stretchered off the field and taken to the hospital for scans which thankfully came back with no major concerns. "It's all okay, obviously I'm not playing this week but it could've been a lot worse."

IMO I think we should consider moving on.
I think it'd be hard for the club to move on from someone who has won a title and made two finals in 3 seasons, but I honestly don't think we've been coached very well over the last two seasons. I believe we're winning a lot of our games due to talent rather than coaching.
I think we'll extend him for a year at least, but I hope we have a look around first, because I'd say there'd be a few decent coaches out there who'd want to coach this lot.

Damn, you're harsh. Miracle win in 20, losing to the Powerhouse Ta$man Team last year, and then pipped in teh final by a point. He's restored credibility to the Auckland jersey. For me, that earns him at least another year or two -- frankly, he's been bloody good for us.
SGH must have helped early on as wel, but he has developed talent and built a good squad.

@nzzp On paper, it looks good, but on a game to game basis, it's far from pretty IMO...at least over the last two seasons anyway.
He coached a near perfect season in 2018, but I haven't been impressed by his coaching over the last two seasons. Sure we've made a semi and final over that period, but I don't think it's been due to his coaching. We were pretty awful for most of 2019 and were pretty average for a good chunk of this season.
I do give him credit on the recruitment side of things though. Maybe keep him as a recruiter?

@Tim status quo in place for this year at least despite the playing group raising a LOT of concerns both with with AI's people/man management skills and his Rugby IQ. Bowden (and the backs themselves) pretty much coached the backs and /ran the strike plays. I've heard of one player at least (started last years final) moving on because the current coaches were staying.
