Lockdown/Covid Check In

So Mr R.L is worse now and 2 of my doctor friends said he should get another test as it doesn't always show positive in first few days!?! Wtf!?
Dosing him up with lemsips and ibuprofen, his shivers are awful. Never seen him this poorly. Test booked again tomorrow.🙄

Test isn't as bad as people make out. Tell him what the medical guy told me. Keep a poker face, makes it less uncomfortable.

@MN5 he's not bothered about the test itself, its the validity of the result!!
Fair call. I had a weird Summer sore throat shivering type thing so the other half insisted I get tested before we travel. I can only assume they got it right and I didn't infect half the South Island.
-
@MN5 well I haven't heard about people getting false negatives if you can even call them that until this week, my friends parents are in their 70s and are both in bed with diagnosed covid but neither have coughs, just extreme fatigue and headache which is what makes me think it's what Mr has

@Catogrande I'm sure there's a video completion of Jonny Wilkinson's drop goals you can watch.

Is it okay to admit I'm not okay today? Really very down.

There's only one thing for it. Always, always, always bring a smile to my face. Just perfect:
Its definitely ok mate. Cant imagine what its like in your neck of the woods, its easy to forget how easy we have it here.
Great choice of therapy. Keep it on repeat.

Yep. I just loathe post-Christmas January and February. Dull, dark, wet and miserable. And I've seen Mrs Meldrew for 3 days in the last 8 weeks.

Great idea. Tomorrow it's the epic 2013 Ellis Park Test with a decent red.

Hate the grey. Looking after her parents?

Looking after her parents?
Yeah. Really shitty time for both of us, but it'll pass.

Know what, it's quite funny...so far the ridiculously short days hasn't depressed me as much this winter, I figure because I'm not travelling so don't notice it as much.

Could be. For me it's the winter dullness and the post-Christmas gloom I don't like. On the plus side, the days are getting longer and the birds are starting to sing in the morning...
