@KiwiPie Can anyone remember the Gunner's previous manager(s)? Wenger appears to have settled aiming at the FA Cup once he realised he wasn't going to win another title.
Bruce Rioch
George Graham
Don Howe

@dogmeat Showing your age.
I only remember Rioch (a failure but he signed Bergkamp) and Graham (1-0 to the Arsenal).
Liverpool and Spurs haven't won a title since the Premier League began in 1992 so we Gunners fans haven't got it so bad if we compare the big clubs. Outside of Leicester, all the other champions spent heaps of money to stack their squad, and that didn't always guarantee success. Arsene will need to buy some quality players to strengthen the team if he wants to win over his critics.

Off top of my headNice memory. I'd forgotten about Rioch. For some reason, I'd put him away as another caretaker.

I think they had such a great run in the early 2000s it raised expectations. They forgot where they'd come from in the years before they broke the drought

So I bothered to check Ares Managers over the last 50 years
Should really have remembered Bertie Mee who had them from 66-76 as he was in charge for the 71 Double
Also should have got Terry Neil 76-83 as that was when I first arrived in Europe
Then Howe 83-86
Steve Burtenshaw for 11 games before
George Graham 86-95
Stewart Houston???? had them briefly before
Rioch 95-96
Houston again (6 games) and Pat Rice (4) filled in between Rioch and Wengers arrival 21 tears ago
So in last 51 years
Mee 10 Neil 7 Graham 10 and Wenger 21Four Managers total 48 years that's pretty amazing for English football
Excluding caretakers Utd has had 10, Liverpool 12, Chelsea 26, Man City 25
