Well that was extraordinarily underwhelming.
What an absolute joke this once great show has become.
Indeed.
Won't be rushing to watch the next chapter
Apparently there is no end in sight for this thing. It will be going on indefinitely.
Just going out on a massive limb here:
:::
Maggie et al (not sure why Jesus was suddenly intent on killing Negan but ok) will attempt to kill Negan. They'll then cock it up and Negan will escape. He'll be gone for a while and then return badder than ever.
:::

@rancid-schnitzel yeah all pretty stupid really.
My brother is an avid reader of the 'graphic novels' and reckons they need to move back in line with them.
:::
I guess Maggie has been so intent on killing Negan, for Rick to deny that has sent her over the egde, but how she has Jesus and Daryl on board is another matter....Rick AGAIN decided to let him live, based on the words of his godlike son, who was such an influence in the 10 minutes he spent with Negan, he bought into his shit too.
Coral shoulda started a religion before he bought it.
Jesus, potentially the coolest character on there, been absent for so long, now he is back, and with Maggie and Daryl, wants to deal to Rick and Michonne?
I've said all along, Negan needed to fuck off for a few seasons, rebuild himself and his following and then make an appearance, this story has just dragged and fucking dragged.
Wasnt it the start of the 2016 season when he killed Glen and Abraham?
This also glosses over the fact that the writers think we are fucking stupid and buy the fact you can use blood to infect, but was only done the once in 99 seasons.
Fuck you TWD writers....a show I used to love and watch the moment I could, now I only watched the finale last night just I wanted to get it over and done with...stupid fucking fluffybunnies.
haha, rant over.
:::
Oh, and I see FTWD has started again...whats worse, is I happened ot watch a thing on IMDB about the timelines, with FTWD being about 2 years behind TWD, but with Morgan popping over to fuck shit up, FTWD will now jump up into the same timeline.
Why am I such a sucker!

so I noticed last night this has started again...any of the avid fans catch it?
I will have to d/l it as I missed the ep last night, it is on last chance saloon for me and is no longer on my must watch ASAP list, just when I get around to it.
I didnt bother with FTWD, although I do get the odd post on my FB feed and some looked good, but still didnt bother.

Unless the reviews here are good I'm just going to avoid it. Not worth it anymore.

@taniwharugby I conked out midway through the last season.

FTWD started with a hiss and a road when everyone was going for the boat....unfortunately when they were at sea the show got boring as fuck and I gave up.

Glutton for punishment.
Seen much worse episodes.
Storyline consolidated and progressed in a new direction.
I haven't tapped out yet.

18 months since the last post but what the hell. I've been a devout - albeit oft frustrated - fan right throughout.
Since the last post we've seen the end of the Saviour war, Negan imprisoned and latterly set free, Rick disappear, Maggie leave (but set to return soon?), the Whisperers arrive, Jesus get fucked-up, Carol go pretty much nuts, Alpha killed and Negan begin a path to redemption, or so it seems.
Then last night we had Michonnes' last appearance, in one of the more frustrating episodes of recent memory. Rick is gone and I'm not worried if they find him, but Michonne is off on a solo mission to track him down after finding traces of him. It's pointless because with Michonne now written out of the series, her intruiging discovery of a whole bunch of survivors in a moving formation seems set to be buried now for who-knows how long as we no doubt return to the rest of the cast after this one random episode.
The formation intrigued me, but will be consigned to distant memory like the helicopter and the old bird with the records. It's like there's a parallel universe out there we're not allowed to know anything signficant of, but they can hint at.
No doubt now they'll drag the Whisperers out a little longer with Beta leading the charge, and then once they're finally defeated once and for all, another nasty group will emerge to take their place and a war will ensue. The only intrigue is who Stephanie is and who she's with (probably the next enemy group) and if Negan becomes accepted as a leader alongside Daryl, Carol etc and what happens when Maggie returns and discovers this (remember she wanted him dead when Rick imprisoned him and it appeared this was going to lead to a division).
These storylines aside, I'd much rather I could see the end of the whole TWD arc with our survivors on course to find the large group Michonne just discovered, and a happy ending.

@shark I checked out a couple of seasons ago so thanks for the wrap up!
Ha! You finally did it. As I read through some posts on this thread to see where it was at I noticed you kept saying you wanted out but couldn't do it.

Yep I cut the cord finally, a year ago at least maybe? There's too much good tv out there to persist with the frustration of watching TWD.

@Nepia I'm still addicted, but pay for it when I sit through unrewarding episodes like the latest one.
My current show that annoys me but I still watch it is The Handmaids Tale, I'm watching S3 now and just making myself angry.

@Nepia I bailed on TWD in 2018 by the looks...we bailed on S3 of THT too, annoying alright, TBF, finale of S2 pretty much made my mind up that it was gonna suck.
Yeah, the decision making of June at the end of S2 drove me nuts, which is why I put off watching S3 until now. There's still some stuff I like with the show, but they're going to have to have a blinder of a finale to get me to come back for S4.

So, (replying to you so I don't reply to myself), got to Ep 11 of THT and thought this Ep is great I'll keep watching this show next season. Then I watched the finale, Ep 12, and they made a writing decision even stupider than the finale of S2 and on a number of levels. So i was like that's I'm done with you now ... but turns out there's 13 episodes not 12. Now I have to decide if I watch 13 just be a completeist. I guess I have no rugby or league to watch so I may as well suffer the 40 minutes and be done.
