Good info and cheers TJ.

Update for week:

Hard to stick to 33 points at times, especially on social club night and when invited out for BBQ or dinner at others.

But weighed in this morning before heading out and was 107.3kgs (was 107.6 before taking a piss and hoping back on scales)

This week is the same plan, 33 points. we are eating better, not snacking on my fav whitechoc button biccies....

Also have a bike set up on runners so will be giving that a whirl to increase exercise. -
Paj how did they work out your daily points? Is it the 'standard' number for a male your age/height/etc? does it factor in the demands of your job/lifestyle?

I was thinking that an office worker would have less points allocated than a labourer or a farmer who has a physically demanding job and requires more energy to get through the day. Just a thought re your post where you mentioned you were knackered by 4pm. Faster weight loss versus reduced performance (or increased fatigue) at work? -

Ah! I figured they would have some cunning plan for working that out. Could you give an example of what a point equates to in terms of food? just trying to see how much kai 33 points equals!!

Has it been getting any easier working on that amount of points? -

106.1Kgs this morning.

Haven't been as strict on sticking to points. Biggest problem is drinkng beer. But I do keep my meals smaller and healthier. More salads, no butter, less oil when cooking, grillng more etc.

Haven't got on bike as yet due to beng out 3 nights but went for big walk hunting on Thurs night which blew a few cobwebs out of the system. -
have been working on eating less - ie portion size. Amazing how much you can reduce your meal size and still get everything you need.
Reminds me of when a bunch of us went to a dance festival (Gathering) during Uni and by the end of it a meal of 2 minute noodles would fill us up for pretty much the whole day! Took about a week to get back to eating 3 or so decent sized meals once we got home. -
106.9Kgs

Put on this week due to two nights out to dinner parties, one being a drink-a-thon until wee hours. Also a road trip to the naki and back on same day resulting in visiting new maaca d's in Whanganui.

Back on track for now. -
Paj - this is a Jenny Craig one that might work for you....

A guy calls a company and orders their 5-day, 10 lb. Weight loss program.

The next day, there's a knock on the door and there stands before him a voluptuous, athletic,19 year old babe dressed in nothing but a pair of Nike running shoes and a sign around her neck.

She introduces herself as a representative of the weight loss company. The sign reads, 'If you can catch me, you can have me.'

Without a second thought, he takes off after her. A few miles later huffing and puffing, he finally gives up..

The same girl shows up for the next four days and the same thing happens.

On the fifth day, he weighs himself and is delighted to find he has lost 10 lbs. as promised. He calls the company and orders their 5-day/20 pound program.

The next day there's a knock at the door and there stands the most stunning, beautiful, sexy woman he has ever seen in his life.. She is wearing nothing but
Reebok running shoes and a sign around her neck that reads, 'If you catch me you can have me'.

Well, he's out the door after her like a shot. This girl is in excellent shape and he does his best, but no such luck. So for the next four days, the same routine happens with him gradually getting in better and better shape.

Much to his delight on the fifth day when he weighs himself, he discovers that he has lost another 20 lbs. As promised. He decides to go for broke and calls the company to order the 7-day/50 pound program

'Are you sure?' asks the representative on the phone..... 'This is our most rigorous program.'
'Absolutely,' he replies, 'I haven't felt this good in years.'

The next day there's a knock at the door; and when he opens it he finds a huge muscular guy standing there wearing nothing but pink running shoes and a sign around his neck that reads, 'If I can catch you, you're mine.'

He lost 63 pounds that week. -
OK, been awhile since my last confession. Father I have sinned...

Weight is the same, but have been eating a tonne of meat home made chips and eggs all grown on farm, only the table spoon of olive oil is off farm, but not to far, Paul Holmes just down the road.

I have also been grilling venison/lamb patties for lunch.

At least not gaining weight, but not lossing it, which is the goal.

Next problem is wife is flying off to UK for 3 weeks which is a disaster for me as I go meat crazy. -
lean meat - rip into it!!

try the atkins thing, it should work over 3 weeks, and you would not want to do it much longer than that, as it is pretty tough by all accounts, but once your body starts to use the fat reserves for energy, as you are not taking in the carbs, you should lose some weight.

Your wifre might wonder where all the meat has gone though after three weeks... -
Well, you could go on a temp Atkins diet and eat all the meat you want and drop the carbs? Won't be doing your heart any favours...
Heart pfft...who needs one of them. I shall look into it. The neigbours are doing a sort of meat no bread, no glutin diet....they have bacon and eggs for breakfast, cooked lunch of meat and bugger all for dinner. -
