Jordie Barrett as a last line of defence needs a bit of work... he gets there, he just doesn't make the tackle, defensively that was a display that used to get people calling for Dagg to be dropped as a 15.
Yep. Fullback requires a different skillset defensively than midfield. In the midfield most of your defensive work is front on or squeezing runners into double tackles. At fullback you need to be able to make a side on cover tackle quite often where both you and the attacker are at speed.
I've seen guys play that are demons at it. You hear a satisfying smack after someone breaks through. (I've also been on the other end of some of those smacks that send you flying over the sideline)
With the way Laumape and Proctor are going at the Canes, JB could end up spending a fair bit of time at 15 so I'm sure this will be an area he is working on. -
Fucking Procter! My new favourite player. The guys work rate and accuracy is phenomenal, definitely punches above his weight too. Should be an AB i reckon, geez there's a logjam in midfield.
Prinsep is shaping up nicely too, getting better each game and definitely some size to him. One to keep an eye on.

Yup he should be dropped from the ABs immediately... oh wait.

One of Lomus cards was for a spear tackle on Nathan Grey though, that might have made a difference.
Except that spear tackles weren't a big deal pre that Irish guy that nearly died and there would have been mitigation that it was Nathan Grey on the receiving end.
Looked it up , was called dangerous play back then and he got two weeks. Four was probably the recommendation , reduced by two weeks for the victim being a gaping Ahole.
I was at the game , all week the the Sydney rugby media had been talking up the tahds after they beat the brumbies and they lost to the canes who had a parade of players coming and going with various cards and the four points they missed out on cost them a place on the semis. The article is an interesting flashback to super rugby back then too.http://m.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=135234

Perfectly timed by Kepu. The off field YC means he will wipe the other two hanging over him and collect a suspension during the bye and game against the Kings.
Byes are no longer included in a suspension. Rule change since the beginning of this season.

What about games at home against the Kings? Surely missing that game shouldn't count either.
