Movie review thread...

Watched Mortal Engines on the weekend.
Was ok, not a must see, and probably 30 mins too long, but ol' Pete loves himself a long movie.

Bohemian Rhapsody.
I thought it was sensational. I'm a half arsed queen fan (love their hits, own none of their albums) but have always found their story intriguing. I'm not sure the lead guy quite gets Mercury on the big stage stuff, but then again, maybe thats not really possible. Great movie though.

Captain Marvel.
Much funnier than I expected, similar to an Antman type film. Fury was very amusing at times.
I managed to put aside my dislike of Brie “I hate white men” Larsen long enough to enjoy the film (mainly by pretending I was watching Katee Sackhoff).
She’s no Chris Evans, so if they are really planning to base the next phase around her I suspect those plans might change.
Enjoyed the film, but is one of those Marvel films that you forget as you walk out the door (Antman, Thor 2, Black Panther).

Wait you don’t like Brie Larson?
I find it’s best to ignore their stupid pointless opinions (just trying to make themselves more relavent) and focus purely on their looks and hotness. -

Watching Tombstone on Sky at the moment.
Hasn't aged a day. I forgot how awesome it really is.
I'm your Huckleberry!
it's really very good. Way better than Costner's (which is still pretty good to be fair)

It's hard to believe you're watching Val Kilmer in it

And Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
I think he's an underrated actor given the variety of characters he's played. Meanwhile the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences jerks off to Daniel Day-Lewis playing the same role.

Just thinking , he wasn’t the reason the Saint sucked but Elizabeth Shue was hot in that which redeemed it a bit . Did he actually turn into a weirdo? It’s hard to tell , once the tabloids decide they can use you to sell their rags they’ll make you into whatever they want.

Also i don't mind the Saint. I don't need much in my movies except to entertain me for a couple of hours

She has absolutely no butt. Rumour has it she needed a butt double for Captain Marvel.
I don't really like this trend of these tiny women being superheroes. On the one hand you have Scarlett J and Gal Gadot and then you have those SW women who weigh about 50kg between them. Brie Larson is another. She just doesn't look like a superhero. If that's sexist then go fucking replace Hemsworth with that guy from Good Doctor.

@mariner4life I have it on DVD if I could find a way to rip it and upload to you...
