Got a new phone with a bit more storage on it. Decided to change the playlist a little.
Pretty much all I have to say.
Besides: if you don't like this album, we can't be friends.
That's OK, you're Australian anyway

Twenty One Pilots are an interesting duo. Despite looking like they are in a shit Korn cover band, they do these poppy hip hop tracks that are surprisingly mature lyrically (ok turns out they are in their late 20s, grow up up you fucks). They're hardly unkown, their songs get a fuck ton of air play
I quite like this, it's catchy as fuck

and from the nostalgia files. I recreated the greatest compilation of all time. The Trip on my ipod. And i have found myself listening to this song heaps. Henry Rollins is an intense dude
-
Not ventured in to this thread for what seems like an age and while I can't condone that 21 pilots dribble, pretty cool to see a couple of old crackers especially a bit of Henry Rollins. I remember that song on The Trip 1 compilation. Think that track pretty much launched his spoken word career.

Oh and superunknown was a good album alright. Preferred badmotorfinger as it was a bit more raw. Another band I got in to thanks to The Trip, along with Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins, STP, Temple of the Dog , Dinosaur Jnr, RATM, Babes in Toyland, L7, Mudhoney. Actually that was probably the best compilation I ever owned, topped only by my own mix tapes. Pretty sure I only bought it as RHCP were on there and I was a big fan at the time.
Full compilation for your grunging pleasure

Yeah, I'm with you JK. Badmotorfinger for me anyday over Superunknown. I kind of thought Superunknown was too long - just went on and on and on .. some great tracks, but just didnt really go for the album.
The trip was awesome, I think I had the trip 3 which I would argue was better, but I cannot find the track listing. There was a deftones song on there which I used to love, but I've never been able to find it again on spotify.
Edit: Found it on google - Passenger! If anybody has the complete track listing of the The Trip 3, I'd massively appreciate it. I can also remember there was The River by the tea party which was an awesome track too.

For me, The Trip was the greatest album ever put together.
I cannot agree that the trip 3 was better but that just comes down to opinion, of course.
There was also an albulm soon after that matched a rap band with a metal band for each song (All different bands for each song). Some great songs came from that but I can't remember the name of it.
A band that I really got into around that some time and I have no idea what got us into it at Uni but the band was called Mi Phi Mi. (Maybe Me Phi Me)

The Trip was fucking awesome. I listen to it once a week. Great stuff. My favourite RHCP and my favourite Pumpkins song on one compilation. Probably my favourite Helmet song as well. Fucking gold.
I used to prefer Badmotorfinger, but Superunknown just kept throwing up tracks i now fucking love. Mailman, Limo Wreck, and Fresh Tendrils aren't as well known as some on the album, but they fucking rock. Throw in my equal favourite song in The Day I Tried to Live, and the other classics like Black Days and My Wave, and it adds up to awesome. Black Hole Sun and Spoonman are the only skippable tracks i reckon.

Used to love Helmet
This was my personal fave

Youtube is great. That Helmet video led me to Biohazard that has not led me to Prong. Cleansing is fucking great.

I see The Trip was grunge and alternative music, which is why I hadn't heard of it.
The only compilation tape I owned back then was Scream Until You Like It.
Oh man, that compilation includes Saxon's cover of Ride Like the Wind by Christopher Cross.
