  • Hugh Renton's move to Chch seems to paying off for him ok - getting more gametime than in the Bay under Philpott 😉 and hasn't been injured yet (now I've jinxed him) .

  • The injured Taranaki team is probably stronger than the team playing Canty.

  • Chris Gawler wasn’t even first choice for Lincoln uni this year. Now playing itm cup.

  • Good wee donnybrook to start the game

  • That's rough for Hoeata to be sent off for that

  • Hoeata has always been a filthy player.

  • @squirrel No, not at all. Punching (with a closed fist) someone against the head/in the face is red every day of the week. Not surprised it's Hoeata. He may just have cost his team the relegation. What an idiot.

  • @stargazer Fair enough. I see your point and agree with it. Guess, I've been watching too many of those old NPC classic matches on facebook where the rules are more relaxed.

  • Hoeata has been terrible all season, all for bringing back experienced players to M10 teams but the amount of stupid penalties he has given away this year hasnt helped Taranaki at all.

  • Matching idiots with idiots now. Another red. This time a clear as day headbutt.
    Gee some players are dumb.

  • @crucial and he tried to argue about it??

He should get a few weeks off for that

  • Great pass from Romano!

  • @squirrel

Hoeata has always fancied himself as a hard man. The hard men of old (eg Meads, Skinner, Hill) would have just laughed at him.

  • Decent win. Ennor continuing to look the goods in the midfield. Will be a good bench option for midfield/Wong next year and get some time if Crotty and Jack get forced breaks.

  • @act-crusader with 3 months between the end of super rugby and the game against the boks surely there won’t be stand downs
