  • So apparently Antonio Brown will play in week 1 after "apologising" to teammates. He's now posted this on youtube:

And now he's on instagram demanding to be released by the Raiders. Dude needs help.

  • @Sneakdefreak The Raiders obliged, and AB has been released, free to sign with another team immediately. This screws the raiders, who lose their number 1 receiving target, and teams might be leery about signing AB. Someone will take a chance on him, but it's going to cost him money

  • Now Antonio Brown has signed with the Patriots. A 1 year deal worth up to $15 million.

Randy Moss went from the Raiders to the Patriots over a decade ago - that worked out pretty well.

Guess the bad news for the Pats is that they never won a a Superbowl with Moss
But this sure is wild.. I have more confidence in the Pats over the Chiefs

If anyone can rein him in it's the Pat's. Maybe that was his intention all along. I don't believe he's that smart, but if I was WR I'd much prefer playing with Brady than Carr

  • Was AB free to sign with the Pats direct from Pittsburgh? If not I could totally believe he has used the Raiders as his patsy to engineer a move to the Pats. He never appeared serious about the Raiders, it was one drama after another

  • @canefan AB wasn"t able to sign where he wanted whilst in Pittsburgh. Steelers traded him to Oakland.

So maybe he wanted NE all along and the Raiders were a means to an end?

  • Looks that way. Either way it's a total dick move by Brown.

He's always been a dick. I remember watching in locker room footage of Tomlin giving a team talk. Everyone is paying attention except AB who is busy filming himself

  • Can't wait for Red Zone tomor.....oh, wait, yeah fuck that's right, grrr

Just checked - Sky don't look like they are doing RedZone any more; it's Panthers Rams and then Cowboys Giants, with Pats Steelers this afternoon (all NZT).

Mondays I could never have the time to watch anyway, so not too fussed personally

  • @Cyclops ESPN Australia/Australasia have canned it.

  • Dolphins are on their way to the 1st pick. They let Lamar Jackson throw 5 TDs on them.

The Browns have had a lot of hype, but the Titans are smoking them at the moment. Titans up 43 - 13 in the 4th. Baker Mayfield has thrown 3 picks in the 4th Q.

Jaguars just signed Foles to a big contract and now he's on the sideline with his arm in a sling.

  • Seeing a lot of blow out scores, probably since none of the first teams played in preseason.

Browns are on the right path but this talk about them being contenders was crazy. Pittsburgh or Baltimore is winning that division.

  • yea, i went to turn on Redzone only to find just the one game! fuckers!

I see the Browns are still the browns...

So good to see Witten catching touchdown passes again. If only so i don't have to hear him calling them

  • 49ers get an opening win. Nice.

The defense looks much improved but they will face much better offenses moving forward (and a lot of offenses are clunky right now given no one plays preseason).

A fairly average display by Jimmy G but at least he got through unscathed.

  • jesus look at what the Pats are doing to a so-called contender in the Steelers. It's a bloodbath

I don't remember a weekend with so many lopsided scores. In a 16 game season, can you afford to limp in like this?
