This chick in Cairns has a stall selling the fucking best Ca Phe Sua Da you have ever tried. Cold brew drip coffee as explained below, served over a fuck ton of ice, with milk and condensed milk.
In Cairns in summer it is the best thing you have ever had in your mouth. Ever.

Finally my specialist subject...
. Georgia cafe does a decent pour over filter coffee (and has just started offering bottomless batch brewed filters), so if I am in town I try one of those. They are supposed to be opening up their own roastery in Onekawa by the end of the year, so will need to check that out.
Do you know Benny? He’s a top bloke. When I was retired I used to go into Georgia every day but now I’m working out of Hastings I hardly ever get there. Artisan in Hastings is good. The owner roasts all her own beans and they have a lady barista who is shit hot.

- No
- I’ve obviously never thought of Carissa in that way as I only value women for their minds. And she’s 36 years younger than me.

Have you had Horny Goat? Is it any good?
All this talk about the Bay has me craving Rush Munros!

this, right here, is an essential part of any good coffee experience.
Just for the sake of clarity, by shit hot I mean she is an amazingly good barista.

Two things:
- I don't believe you, and
- Are you assuming gender?

Working around Wellington there’s a lot of choices for decent coffee so the barista is an decent part of deciding where I get my flat white from . Last place I worked had a hot American chick working there , all was good till she told me one day she’d gone from vegetarian to vegan . She got a job at a vegan cafe and her boss took over for a while he looked for another barista which was ok because he was a good sort . I can’t even begin to describe the horror of walking in one day to find her full time replacement was a hipster with a man bun .

I was in Indo a couple of years ago and went to the place that they "farm" it. It was a civet shit (actually it was alright but really just made famous and expensive by the movie I think).

Yes, it was pretty disappointing. It was really mild tasting. A lot of the bitterness, but also the complexity and interestingness you get from a good coffee had gone.
Like the DB export of coffee beans.
If you have spent your life drinking Nescafe gold then it probably tastes magic. To me, nowhere worth the cost, and I would not drink it again by choice.

Bear Pond Espresso
That's a loooooooong way to go for that!
I also got a "dirty" - shot of espresso, cold milk, and a shot of espresso pulled differently on top. I hate milk in my coffee, but this rocked

i bought a stove top/moka pot and grind my own beans(yes i know what i said) best thing is its not a expesso .i good machine costs a bomb and cheap ones are shit.pot cost about $100 stainless steel they are now over$200 grinder cost more than the pot.and i can have an expesso when im out.
We were on stove top moka - really simple and easy, and half decent coffee.
Have now moved over to a ROK Presso. Basically a very simple hand pull - double lever action. Makes a decent espresso with a solid crema, fast and easy to use. Only a couple of hundy too. We use ours about 20x a week easy, and have relegated our moka pots to the back of the cupboard.

Edit: also great for travelling/camping, as all yo uneed is hot water. Very portable.
Got one of these - a thing of beauty; copper and chrome

What's that coffee they sell in London that costs stupid money per cup? It's shit out by an endangered monkey or something.
