First ministerial resignation, albeit a junior one.
What happened to the Scottish Medical advisor who broke her own rules? Did she resign or get fired?

Backed by Sturgeon but ended up quitting anyway.

The guy drove hundreds of miles across country during what was in effect a lock down no? And he and his wife were suspected Covid19 cases? He should be gone, the optics are terrible

But whoever's been giving BoJo advice on dealing with the press ought to be polishing his CV.
Looks like this Guardian & Mirror journalist could be out of a job as well.....
-
@Victor-Meldrew He's actually a freelancer, though has written for the Grauniad and the Mirror. You'd hope no longer though. What an appalling person.

If ever there was a case of taking one to know one, this gentleman seems to fit the bill.

So I've just caught the end of a BBC piece where they were talking about the testing being well short of the 200k target "set" by BoJo.
Is it me who's dumb in assuming that was capacity, or is it them?
BoJo was shooting from the hip. Hancock screwed up his face at the point he said it.

Didn't they do 170-180k a week ago?

I only have one problem with Gove.
He's the only politician I know who can lose an argument before he's opened his mouth.

Hah as I said to the other half when she reminded me who Cummings is - "oh he's the one whose personality matches Gove's looks".

Yeah, he writes better than he speaks
-
@Bones said in Coronavirus - UK:
@pakman yeah I was of the understanding he meant capacity even though he didn't clarify that. They've already got much more capacity than they're doing, why would they force out over twice as many tests just to reach a number?
That wouldn't make sense.

I've only seen one of the briefings he's led but thought he seemed the most concise of anyone. Much less stuttering and erming.

They should test all of Durham.

He's very capable indeed, but I hear a complete prick in his social life. On the other hand, it seems Cummings got on well with Benny Bumbercatch, when the movie was made.

@Victor-Meldrew We all had the test last week and came back negative.
