Davis already got over 1000 of them out just by making Corrections follow the rules as written.

@canefan pretty rough to hang that on a single MP. But I would definitely agree it didn't get enough clear messaging
kinda ironic that the pro-cannabis struggled to communicate clearly and articulately.

A recently published op-ed about Cannabis and teen users (this is the guy I was linking to above):
More concerning is that over 20% of adolescents got their marijuana from an adult.
The federal Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance Survey recently showed that every drug used by adolescents is on the decline -- except for marijuana, which is overall increasing.
This relationship between marijuana use and mental health is underscored in Colorado, where marijuana has become the most prevalent substance found in completed teen suicide. Prior to legalization, the substance typically found was alcohol, but the trend reversed post-legalization. There were significant mental health circumstances surrounding the completed teen suicides with "current depressed mood" noted most often (53%). The link between depression and cannabis use is well established and recent data show that individuals with depression are at increasing risk of cannabis use, particularly if there is daily, or near-daily use. Individuals with depression have nearly double the odds of using cannabis compared to people without depression and this association has strengthened over time.

@gt12 What that tells me is we are doing a piss poor job of helping youth with depression. If it's not Cannabis it is alcohol or whatever drug is available to help suppress the pain they are going through.
As with all drugs we need to help the people who are most vulnerable to abuse, that is often people with mental health issues, poverty etc.
At least if the drug is legal you can control its quality, be able to talk openly with professionals about your usage and get help if you have a problem.
