@baron-silas-greenback well no that wouldn't offend me, but I don't see it that way. They're just not referring to me as anything. My thought would be...so what?
They are referring to you as a nothing? And that isnt offensive? wow
-
@baron-silas-greenback not nothing, but if that's your take I can see how you'd be so easily offended. I can't see why it should bother me, but Rembrandt and NQ have done a fantastic job of explaining why it may effect them.

Oh you didn't mean to hurt anyone with your sword, your suicide note and your Allahu Ackbar's! Well sounds legit, Not Guilty for you!

No mention of Corbyn and the stupid woman "scandal"? The faux outrage was something for the ages. It's hilarious how self-proclaimed "strong women" are the first to clutch pearls and claim protection at even the slightest perceived insult. People who are strong, confident and independent usually don't give a shit what other people say about them. I suppose it is very amusing that Corbyn would have also gone the full retard if a Tory had said something similar.

It is funny watching him squirm but he did nothing wrong, hell if he'd called her a fluffybunny I'd probably then at least have a modicum of respect for the commie piston wristed gibbon.
How on earth this is an issue is beyond me..surely there must be a couple of other issues more pressing right now..
-
@rancid-schnitzel yeah what the fuck... How is the word "woman" the problem in that phrase? She's a fucken woman.

@Bones The thing is that despite being a socialist he is not really liked by MSM in the UK. For a start he's much too 1970's Sandanista socialism for their liking. Also he has shown little appetite for quelling anti-semitism in the Labour party and whilst that is obviously not such a heinous crime as being anti-Palestinian, it still offends the glitterati. So, any chance to stick the boot in will be taken.
I can't stand the man but agree he's done nothing wrong in this instance.

Look, the guy is a complete knobend, let’s get that out of the way first, and I’m inclined to disagree with anything he says on principle. But it’s hard to see how this is an issue.
He thinks May is stupid, well it may be unparliamentary language but he’s entitled to his opinion.
And she is a woman (or at least she hasn’t objected to anybody assuming her gender). But is seems like if you put those two words together it becomes a sexist insult rather than just a description made up of an adjective and a noun, neither of which, from his perspective, are wrong.
In a couple of months in which May has borne the brunt of some pretty forthright and damning criticism it’s amazing that this is the “insult” that people are taking offence at.

I did a search for Corby stupid woman and got a ridiculous number of hits from mainstream media sites. Including this doozy of a headline from the Torygraph:
"Corbyn's denial over his 'stupid woman' jibe is a denial of just how big Labour's women problem is"
Ffs. I agree that Labour have a big woman problem and her name is Dianne Abbott.

Pretty sure that's exactly what I just said verbatim.
But nah, summed up perfectly. The denial was bloody stupid though. It's like a line out of Austin Powers, who says stupid person?

@Rembrandt I expect we will be enlightened to be told that none of the fall out was Chavez fault and that it is all a conspiracy by corporate USA and Europe to de-stabilise a socialist utopia.

Sounds like utopia. Wait. No. What? Oh I’m sure I’ll be told soon.

@Rembrandt which crime is not like the others in their top 5 collection?:
MOPAC’s figures showed startling rises in several crime types over 2017, which saw 80 people stabbed to death amid concerns about acid attacks and violent robberies in the capital.
Homicide increased by a third to 137 murders, all knife crimes were up more than a quarter to more than 14,500 incidents that saw 2,000 victims under the age of 25 injured.
Personal robbery increased by 40 per cent, theft from the person a third and Islamophobic hate crime by 39 per cent to 1,678 recorded incidents.
