  • No Ardie Savea ?

  • That's almost identical to Nigel Yaldens team of the week...

  • I'm a Blues fan, but I don't think Patrick T was in the form team of the week.  Didn't bring impact, not awful, but I'd be surprised if he was the top no 4 in the country.

  • Yep, I'm a big fan of Patty T, but he missed a couple of tackles that led to tries for the Hurricanes.

  • Yeah, he did put in a couple of weak tackle attempts on defense, which is a bit uncharacteristic for him. However, I did think he was top notch with ball in hand. He was getting over the gain line constantly, dragging in 2 or 3 defenders almost every carry, and his offloads were really troubling the Canes.

16 carries, 3 defenders beaten and 4 offloads is as good an effort on attack for a lock as you'll get most weeks.

  • You could argue Mackenzie could get the nod as he set up a crucial try but Nanai has to get points for being such a standout in a Blues backline that didn't possess a lot of other threats.
