How does it measure your fat %?

I did the ole BMI thing the other day and it said i was outside of my correct range which for a 6'1.5" chap is 10 stone 13lbs - 13stone 8lbs, the latter half of this although healthy on a BMI scale would seem to be underweight and unwell even.
Sends an electric pulse through your body and it travels faster through fat than other shite.

Ignore BMI it's a load of crap. As muscle weights more than fat, if you are even slightly fit it thinks you are fat. Any system that says all people of the same hieght should weigh pretty much the same is overly simplistic.
Wasn't the Body Mass Index created in the 1960's or something without changing? It's so so out of date, it's not funny -
According to this diet show on tv a good ratio of body fat should be 20% for the gents and 25% for the ladies.
Tend to take no notice when i see these so called experst talk about the Body Mass Index..might work well for kids who should be a certain weight for their age and height but no bloodygood if you build up muscle. -
Weighted in for the first time for 5 weeks this morning and pleasantly surprised. After rowing about half my usual milage for the last month, came in at 98 kilos, and 14& body fat.

So gained a kilo, but lost 1.6% body fat.

I'll buy that for a dollarÂ
