I'm really pissed off. Leaderless. Bone headed. Brainless. No plan A, B, or C. No team spirit, no team. Worst team for as long as I can remember. Utterly dire. Where are the forwards? Whitelock is like someone's Nan, Retallick was past it three years ago. Both have given their all but are now spent. Why do we persist in trying to run out from the 22 every bloody time. Kick the ball away with moments to go. Tactically inept. Any chance we can play field position rather than trying to win the game from our own 22. Ultimately nowhere near good enough and zero smarts. The sooner this farce ends the better IMO. Just bloody embarassing. Infringement after infringement. We look like Dinosaurs. Take a bow Foster, ****** us in less than 5 years. Please leave.

Being in the UK, I watch the BBC website a fair bit. Picked up on this a while back, but the comments section always gets opened up when we lose and never when we win. God I love the hate.

You know what, I don't give a shit about the World Cup. I care that our mana is being damaged here every other test by Foster and co. Test matches are important. It was all lovely and fluffy to hear Richie talk about the team culture, but what the hell happened to the AB coach that put the fear of god into you that losing is just not acceptable. If you play badly, kiss your position goodbye. You're not AB material. This woke world of accepting failure is destroying the All Blacks. We will be just another team in less than 2 years if this crap keeps up.

We won because we took all our chances, bar one. Ireland backed themselves into a corner by not taking their threes. Very Un-Ireland like. But we had them on the back foot the entire match so the start was crucial. I can't believe I'm saying this but well done Foz.

@sparky I had the distinct pleasure of being 3rd row in on the try line there when Wilson went for his swan dive, still ******* mad about it 28 years later. God I'm old.

We won and we deserved it. Some totally BS calls by the ref but he is always inconsistent.Only one card was justified the second one, the other wasn't. Where was the ref and his assistants when Barrett almost had his head taken off? Cannot believe they were reviewing the grounding when he was hit right in the face!
I thought Fekitoa had a great game, he's not perfect but he was good and tackled like a demon. Rest of the team was fantastic in defence and good to see a bit of mongrel back. Was impressed with Squire as well, he lasted fine.
Have to thank Ireland for a great couple of games. It goes to show how poor the Aussies and Saffies were in the championship. Pretty clear it us, and Ireland & England in the top three. Have to see how France play tonight.

@Tordah what happened?
After Fekitoa scored and Barrett was lining up the conversion, the usual TV director shit comes up and he shows the last pass which was flat, a few in the stadium start to boo, Rory Best comes running from behind the posts up to Barrett who was preparing the kick and PEyper and wnats them to check
It wasn't even flat.
But at least O'Piper sends him away. Eventually.
I guess on your tiny TV screens in NZ you can't tell the difference. On my 65" it was forward.
That's a big screen to fit in a caravan, kudos!

Ref was fine. BB, honestly where was he all game, he's past it. Whitelock also can't pull 80 minutes. Brodie simply wasn't fit. Why we kept both locks on is beyond me, it was obvious they were gassed. Although some might think that's a choke, I think the gold star goes to England for just putting it out. Pathetic. Who dares wins? Honestly, embarrassing. I'm actually shocked England cut us to bits like that out wide, goes to show we've still got a very long way to go. A draw with England is a loss in my book, but in this day and age I'm sure NZRFU won't see it like that.

@canefan nailed it on the head, which means he isn't an AB coach. We can't accept mediocrity, it just breeds more mediocrity.

Sensible selection minus Roigard.

@Tim was obvious how poor we were in that regard, the Welsh and especially the Fijians were both light years better than us. We are slow as hell to get into the ruck and we don't commit enough numbers. We've gone from being unable to defend, committing more to the ruck, to committing less to the ruck and being too slow to get there. It's just crap all round. The biggest improvement in the RC was in the defense but it didn't show up our ruck as we weren't put under any real pressure in those games. The NH sides are going to rip us a new one and yeah I reckon we could lose to Italy unless they do something rapido to fix it. The work rate from our pack is awful and what do we expect when we have geriatrics at 4 & 5 who should have been put to pasture in 2019. There's no quick fix for this, that bird has flown.

3 hrs and 16 minutes but who is sitting here counting... lol

WTAF did I just see, first the outrageous refereeing then the halfback kicking the ball back to the Boks with 15 seconds to go and 2 men down. Just stupid. Gutted for Wales, that ref shouldn't ref a game again, ever.

What a pass from Smith
-
What a ridiculously good game that the Ref tried to ruin, dick

That's how you play tourney rugby, big D all night

Ref missed about half a dozen off the ball tackles by the Argies and did nothing about it, so we adapted and did it too. Was ridiculous how many times we had players taken out early on. Ref performance wasn't biased, he seemed more interested in keeping the game going. How about Jordan being taken out, if we'd done that, we'd have a 100% yellow. What does it take for us to get a favourable call in those circumstance, a beheading?

What the fuck has Rugby become if that is a YC

The travel is huge for these guys, the six nations NH teams have it much, much easier than we do yet we still perform very well. It bodes well in future for World Cup's I think. I mean in the old days, who would fly to SA for one game, then fly back to NZ for a return match? We were over there for weeks and vice versa. No wonder they are shattered for the NH tour, or at least past their best every year. I know they're professional athletes but that much air travel and time zone change affects everyone.
I've been very pleased with the AB's efforts this year, the RC was a huge effort and following on from the WC win it's great to cement it with this season, the boys should be very proud.
It's clear to me though that our game plan needs some adjustment in the face of the type of performances that Ireland and France laid out over the last couple of weeks. If we don't get the ball, or don't keep the ball long enough, we're not going to score as freely in the future. Not concerned it's just a tactical change we'll need to adapt to and try to counter. I'm not sure we're committing enough numbers to the breakdown in situations where we can't win the ball back and opposition is not making mistakes. Need to be quicker to adapt to those situations than doggedly stick to a game plan if it's not working. Not helped of course with Cane injured and a new guy covering.
I'd give the AB's an A- for the year, only marred by losing to Ireland for the first time is 112 years or whatever it is. Still, if the AB's hadn't relaxed, and had squeaked by would we have seen the massive improvement in defence we saw in the last two games? Probably not.
How long do we have to wait for Super Rugby??

I want to be happy for Ireland, but to be honest I'm just pissed off by our performance. Some terrible play, terrible decisions and terrible handling. Well played Ireland you deserved it by playing some focussed, classy Rugby.
