It's funny when these disrespect things come up every now and then, I am basically looking all this rugby thing from the outside to in and for me it looks that the All Blacks are the side that most respect their opponents. Of course when you win everything for a decade people are going to look for any flaws in you, but disrespecting their opponents isn't one of them.

I've been running a rugby club for five+ years, and managed other sports too and it is always a bitch, it's either money, commitment or both. If trying to enforce such outrageous shit like paying your fees and informing people if you are going to show up or not makes me a tosser, then so be it. It is not like the guy who promises to play and then lets 15 other guys down by not showing up or showing up with the opposition isn't a tosser.
People just don't either realize how much hours someone has to put in for free just to get a pitch for training or playing or just plain don't care. And those people are the tossers. not the guys giving up their free time to organize shit and only asking a bit of accountability in exchange.

Cyprus win streak includes two games against Finland and we would propably take a hiding from south-Auckland u16's. The strongest outfit they played was a powerhouse called Latvia, yes I understand it is hard to understand for people who don't follow the sport, butfor everyone who does, it shouldn't really be comparatible with the AB's record.
I remeber when the big boys told me about the lead-up to the home match, the Cyprus team arrived on wednesday and spent three days on the piss and after the match said it was the toughest game they played so far, wonder why...

Now that I think about it both teams were a bit shit.
Lions had a burl didnt look really likely at all and fucked up plenty, wonky lineouts, knock ons etc.
And NZ with too many fuckups to capitalise. If that performance was trundled out by the 2015 vintage there'd be calls for heads to roll.
Some of it has to be on the captain. Fuck the ref, he was always goign to be suspect and shouldve been removed from computations well before the 79th minute. Yes, there's some newbie 2nd stringers in there but the blue heads of yesteryear seem to have gone a bit red headed stepsister. Shouldve been enough caps in that AB pack to find away after all the Lions flubs.
Hansen seems quite content with a draw. In fact, the whole coaching staff seem like a very cosy and content little cabal of tenured ivory towered professors. And who's next? Preordained. Yes, it's tonights fucking AB attack coach! Ian fucking Foster. He's Shag's mate! Fuck this, now I'm getting annoyed. Where's the accountability?
I unserstood very little about this, but fuck it needs to be posted again.
I still need to have relaxing music on to write this as the end was very unsatisfying;
You just have to admire the Lions, going from a 'divided scrap team' to drawing a series with the All Blacks, is something you only get the chance to see every 12 years. We got to see that shit. Was a blast for a couple of weeks.
The Lions had a defence that was second to none, they were like rabid dogs from game to game, something the AB's were not exactly used to.
And what was the more important thing, they just refused to drop off. We can talk about the refs, the cards the everything, but in the end the Wallabies would still have lost this series 100-0, whereas the lions dug very deep to draw it and that is a win for rugby.Now I am not the leading analyst, but in the end I see very little between those two teams, and I just can't be mad about a draw. None of those 46 players deserve to walk out of this as a 'Lions series loser'.

@dmx You would really have him over Robshaw?
I definitely wouldn'tAnyway that point is probably moot as England last played Itoje at 6 and now they have got the emerging Underhill and Simmonds who are both going to end up better than LW if not already.
You are probably one of those guys who say that the best 30 players in the world are 1st and 2nd All Black XV and refuse to acknowledge that cohesion, game plan, coaching, combinations etc.. play any part in a team sport.
And yeah I do agree that many All Blacks would walk straight in to any team, but thinking that a 4th stringer would, is just delusional.

Update on the diet thingy, 100.5kg this morning, so much slower weight loss now during the last 3-4weeks than the first 6, but overall feeling much better. Was just out with the dog and we went to the dog park and then jog back from there, about 3km, hardly broke sweat and didn't breath heavily at any point. Been ages since I could jog without feeling like shit all the time, unfortunately the dog was a bit slow as he got his excersice at the dog park, could have ran much faster.
As for the diet itself, I have given myself much more freedom with what I eat, for example today went to a Chinese buffet, but only ate half of what I used to, portion sizes are so much smaller that it doesn't really matter if I take a carb here and another there.
If you think you should drop some weight, I just can't recommend it enough, no matter how you do it, after 10kg I feel so much better and exercising is so much more fun now. So much easier to look myself in the mirror too, probably going to try to settle somewhere around 90kgs, I remember I was pretty satisfied with myself years ago at 94, but think I packed more muscle then too, so need to whip my ass to the gym more too.

Went to a mates cabin a few weeks back and we did a pork neck in an 'earth oven' (dug a hole, put some stones in it, had a big fire there for four hours and then put the meat there and filled the hole, dunno if that is the right word), put some salt, honey, chilli, garlic powder etc.. on the meat and had it season for about 6h, then wrapped it in butter paper, foil, and wet newspaper(put some onions, carrots and garlic with it)
It was in the hole for 8h and when we got it out and on the table, it took less than ten minutes for five guys with forks to destroy, no sauce needed. It was fucken amazing.

@Frank
What did I just read? I got a kneecap into my eye socket in a game over the weekend and that hurt less than seeing that pile of horseshit. -
@Chris-B. Well I maybe a tad optimistic about how good your backs are, I would have backed them to defend short handed
For the life of me I can't understand this 'protecting the player' bullshit being dished out by the referees and comms at every turn. Seems its more like a fingertip to the head is red, but charge on a player on the ground(who is also retreating from the tackle) the head not being the point of contact and its play on?
I mean out of the two incidents, SoB on Naholo and Vunipola on Barret, the other had intent, no arms, and a real chance for the receiving end to get injured, whereas Naholo was unlucky to get a forearm to the head.

@jegga And variety makes a diet healthier too, if you only ever eat broccoli and chicken breast, you are probably missing on some nutrients you need.
I am a bit lazy on the variations, some health nut would probably shred My diet into pieces, but it is still way better than it used to be.
Varying the meat isn't hard, but the veggies is. Caukiflower, broccoli and cabbage are staples in my diet and I actually like them, so it's easy to get around a kilo a day in. I do like most veggies, but some are heavy on carbs so need to be careful there.
Co workers are starting to get jealous tho. Whip out ribs or pulled pork for lunch and they will start considering if their pasta with minced meat and ketchup was the right choice.

I think Naholo has shown a lot this season and in my opinion he is a very exciting player. I did some stats comparing, but of course they are a bit scewed becouse Naholo has only played 101 minutes to Saveas 344 and the median is always going to drop in a longer run, but anyway;
Savea(per 80 minutes)
1 try
86 metres
10 carries
2,8 clean breaks
3,8 defenders beaten
2 handling errors
1 missed tackle and about 4 made.Naholo(per 80 minutes)
0,8 tries
148 metres
15 carries
5,5 clean breaks
8 defenders beaten
1,6 handling errors
and a surprising zero missed tackles from zero attempts.All the stats are from the Vodacom app
There is some breakdown as to why some people might want to see Naholo being the first choice, but Saveas numbers are impressive too. I want to see Naholo being there becouse I am a fan of his, love the way he looks so fucken casual going around and then bang, puts the hammer down and is gone, and always has that quirky smile on his way.
Just for interest here are Aussie nr. 11 Reece Hodges stats(alltough he should be somewhere else than on the wing);
0,2 tries
5 carries
27 metres
0,6 CB
0,2 DB
1 HE
1 missed tackle and 6 made(he defends @12 a lot)So either way, you could have it worse.
