I don't even bother with cases, just screw the motherboard to a wall, awesome airflow and reduction in dust to clog fins/fans

@booboo I loved Port Douglas and the Daintree when I went. Beautiful

    Didn't quite make it there.

Got as far north as Hartley's Croc farm.

The Capn Cook Highway north from Palm Cove was awesome.

@booboo it comes under the general prohibition on imposing determinate sentences cumulatively on indeterminate sentences. It will add to the parole board's risk weighting though.

@Snowy is interesting, I got an email last night (re Legal Liability around H & S, expect probably written past few days or weekish) so assume this review has only happened recently or hadn't been announced a review was imminent.

There has been no inquiry or investigation into WorkSafe’s role as a regulator of Adventure Activities or whether it met its duties under HASWA. At least one of the defendants had its Safety Management System audited (and passed) by a WorkSafe approved Adventure Activities auditor. This information was publicly available on WorkSafe’s Register of adventure activity operators at the time of the eruption.

True. None of us even noticed that you've spelled "Separation" incorrectly 😉

@Hooroo haven't stayed in Taupo for maybe a decade as find it's a bit meh and we are normally passing through on our way to Shield Snorters. Just checked its menu. Looks OK. Bloody cheap. Will bear it in mind next time we are in area - probably Feb now on way back from Deco. Thanks.

    @Magpie_in_aus Nice. Thanks.
Yes I work with several building companies / developers and they always need capital. The extra bonus for me is they have to use my business for all of the paint and interior decor products. I could win twice there. Hmmm, a bit more thought as to how to make that work...

It’s just too implausible that David didn’t do it. Simple. That’s my take anyway. Surely either you kill your whole family ( or thankfully in most cases ) none of them.

Tropical fruit is a proper marmite thing. Pineapples, mangoes, melons, lychees etc are the absolute nuts. Super sweet. Yet, you then get dragonfruit (fucking cardboard), durian (gas leak anywhere) and jackfruit (known as a duck substitute).

funnily enough i am not a massive fan of tropical fruit

Cold mango is amazing, pineapple is fucking great, the rest can fuck off. I have two high producing Paw Paw trees in my yard, but i can't stand the stuff. Too sweet, don't like the texture. I just give it all away.

What i have noticed as i have got older (or changed diet, not sure which) is my tolerance for deep fried foods has fallen right away. Too much of it and i feel like shit straight away.

We had an accident 15 years ago, but unfortunately he was stillborn. We were still young and poor, so figured we'd stick with the plan to build a life (house, careers etc) and continued with contraception.

We stopped the contraception after we bought our house in 2013, but no luck since. We're both 40 now, so the odds are pretty low at this stage. Haven't really discussed adoption, but our lives are pretty good without kids and we have plenty of nieces and nephews...

    Sad to hear bro.

My kids have a pretty special bond with a couple of their aunties and uncles that don’t have any children of their own. They are amazing and I will forever be grateful for the time they invest in my kids.

The match threads make one feel like they're at the game half the time.

The bitching, toy tossing, complaints about selections, some fluffybunny that you disagree with right in your face, parochial regional comments.

You're better off at the game.

Whilst a holiday in Australia would be delightful we've had to "settle" for the Coromandel.

Actually fuck that, Coromandel rocks !!!

Are you driving? From Wellybops? Man that is a long way for a few days.

Well the whole trip will be longer than a few days I just didn’t bother mentioning the bit about going to Auckland

The OLED I bought is now $1700 more expensive than when I purchased it a week ago, and more expensive than when it was released. I'm glad I pulled the trigger during that sale period.

As a side issue (for apple users mainly), I am late to the party on AirPods but what a well designed product!
I would say that functionally they are one of the best new things apple has produced in ages. They hark back to the old claims of 'it just works'.
Audiophile arguments aside they are stable, connect instantly, are super easy to set up (10 secs out of the box). The microphone design is top notch.
I only got some to help with the amount of skype/teams calls I have to do now and they are now indispensable.
My only dislike is that they still look like you have cotton buds sticking out of your ears but thats a design trade off for the mic design/quality I guess (I have tried some of those totally in ear ones and you have to talk louder, especially when outside)

My AirPods have left the box once. Much prefer the old cable jobs and less chance for me to lose them.

I will admit that the shape of them doesn't suit everyone's ears snugly. I have never felt like they were going to fall out.
Other than that, given that you drop them back in the charging case after using surely you would only lose them by being slack?

Definitely, I'd probably lose the charging case as well.

Good thing about Netflix is that your account moves around the world with you. A simple VPN unlocks stuff.
I use 'JustWatch' to find a title then switch to that country to watch.

@canefan if you only watch sports, consider SkySportNow. I've been using it - not perfect, but some really good features.

happy to post more on pros/cons if anyone is interested

    Yes please.

    righto, SkySportNow.

    Pros:

on demand streaming - anywhere with internet and you get sports. It's awesome quality is about 1080P I think- is really good with fibre 'on demand' means you can watch any programme from the last 24 hours can skip backwards or forwards - but not fast forward/rewind casts a high quality (but at the expense of skpping forward/backwards) Cost: $25/month if you pre-buy a year support NZ Rugby and Sky (who, despite their muppetry sometimes are a force for good in sport watching)

    Cons:

You can only watch 'on demand' after the programme is finished (in theory). In practice, can watch up the last 2 hours of live broadcasts (so if you open it, make sure you don't see or hear the scorea nd click backwards it's all good.... up to 2 hours. This has caught me on American Football games which last 3-4 hours sometimes. only 24 hours to watch things before they disappear

Overall, pretty happy with it to be fair. We have fibre and unlimited data, as it will chew data at higher quality. Option to scale back if you're out which is nice. No regrets so far!
