Worst NZ TV I have ever seen was the last few minutes of the Covid fundraiser where they made a train and did the "Thank you very much" dance.
    So contrived, so awful.
But, luckily, I can't find it on YouTube,

    That sounds absolutely horrific.

Found it. Go to 7hours 58 minutes.

    Christ on a bike.

Cringeworthy doesn't even begin to cover it.

    It's got it all.

I think the ultimate tribute came from, oddly, Macron.

“To you, she was your Queen. To us, she was The Queen”.

    You can’t top that.

    That's brilliant

When I first arrived in London a few years ago I did some contract chef work as an on call emergency/troubleshooter. Basically when places were screwed for a night/week through absences or needed someone to clean up and sort out a kitchen after someone else's mess.

    Crucial Ramsay.

The language used was often similar. 🙂

Mostly it was emergency fill ins at 'gastro pubs' and the like. Just needed to be able to get in there and run the kitchen on short notice. I had one or two where I refused to work there unless the kitchen was shut for a complete clean and decontamination as there was no way I was going to serve food to people from such cesspits. Funnily enough they all had 3 star health safety ratings and I'm not super fussy.
Punters really do not want to know what the average kitchen is like.

@gt12 yes, I've put some long term money with then recently and it's held up very well given the market volatility. Just pick the right fund for your time horizon / risk tolerance, and seek some professional advice on that if you need it.

@Kiwiwomble make her a canes fan, get her some skin in the game! Bonesetta is a canes fan and I nominated the rest of her family with other super teams, makes it a bit more fun. Of course her mum is the sith.

    You cruel and unusual bastard.

Edit: sorry, read that as you'd encouraged her to become one.

How is the NZ housing market likely to fare should there be a major recession?

Watch RBNZ lending/deposits with big banks. They need to grow for market to hold up.

@kirwan The Batman once again raised a interesting point

I struggle to see how THAT Batman would work in a DCEU, how the more "real" detective type Batman would sit next to actual gods, really highlights that there really are two Batman's

All very impressive and I do get your point. I suppose a big contrast to that is the other three guys in AC/DC who aren’t Angus and Brian. They have a cushy gig that anyone vaguely competent could manage.

Angus would say that Malcolm was the most important member of the band.

Fair call I will stand corrected on that from a writing point of view and what the brothers did behind the scenes setting the band up. He wrote some pretty cool riffs for someone who appeared to know only three chords as well !

I fucken love AC/DC but Rudd looks half asleep during their live gigs, at least Williams tries to make his bass lines appear more complicated than they are.
