@Baron-Silas-Greenback
I see - I've heard similar from my friends who stay in Austin - particularly if they are associated with the uni (much like Madison as you mentioned). But once you're out of downtown, I don't buy it. Once you head towards the Hills (west) or North towards Round Rock and Cedar Park, it's pretty much just like everywhere else in Texas - spec homes and country clubs, just like parts of DFW, Houston, etc. etc.the interesting thing I didn't mention was that there is also a generational shift happening - so my friends' older sister is a staunch republican, but her two daughters are hard core Bernie (and now Hillary). I'm waiting for the time when Texas turns blue, because then my DFW friends are going to lose their shit.

In terms of scale maybe. They've certainly got civil unrest - particularly the black population - but has it grown? Or is it just more widely reported?
It's fallen massively. I have posted before that hate crimes due to race have halved in America since 1990. Race relations have got worse but I have not seen any evidence that it is causing racial violence to increase. I have almost never heard of a case in America where a mainstream conservative murders a mainstream liberal, just for being liberal.

@canefan
Luckily none of my city friends are armed. My friends out in Weatherford, Seguin, and Katy though - it freaks me out. One story: I was in my friends car and the glovebox popped open while we were driving, and out drops her .38 revolver into my lap. Nearly shit my pants. -

Some people say this but America is a two party system. You almost always have two relatively even parties. If Texas goes Democrat, then another state will have to go Republican to compensate. It would just be too difficult for the Democrats to continually keep such a large group of people together. Republicans would eventually get tired of losing.

There are stats on the whole race relations thing. If you are white you are something like 90% more likely to be killed by another white person then a black person. And vise versa for black people. Very few "hate crimes" between races being committed.
Race relations are nowhere near as bad as MSM likes makes out (which they do for controversy and clicks), largely due to the Black Lives Matter movement which is basially a racist terrorist group trying to create as much hate and violence as possible between black people and the (white) police. BLM and the MSM can get fucked.

There is also a perverse incentive for politicians to overstate issues to energise a voting block. BLM, war on women etc
A useful election strategy but its terrible for the country -
Five FBI cases are currently probing most of Clinton's inner circle.

Is there any constitutional way that the election can be abandoned?
Neither of these candidates deserve to be POTUS.
Turns out that it is a prime opportunity for an independent 'placeholder' President but too late now for that to happen..Issue there is none of the alternatives were good either. Cruz should not be anywhere near government, Rubio is better but stands for nothing. The genuinely solid ones - Kasich, Kaine are too bland to get enough votes in the US, Ryan is OKish but didn't run. Santorum & Perry are atrocities, Sanders is delusional. Bloomberg would have been good, but WAY too liberal for most Americans.
Mitt Romney could have been excellent I think - Clinton without the baggage. Great experience, very centrist, willing to compromise. The GOP horribly dropped the ball not drafting him & getting 100% behind him when it became clear Jeb wasn't up to it. Jeb Bush would have been good, but its the dynasty shit again.
I don't buy the idea Clinton is not good enough. Shes not ideal, but she's got very good experience, shes bipartisan (which Obama wasn't), she'll be a solid president & nothing she does will cause any lasting damage. She may even do well in that she would work across the aisle on, say, reforming Obamacare & certainly on immigration. Obama was a disater on that front (compromise).
All the repeated garbage that Frank posts is just that, garbage. Last week she was so dirty she had Comey in her pocket so that disqualified her, then Comey goes WAY outside his remit & it turns out, oops, there's no actual smoking gun. The level of shit posted makes Winger look knowledgeable on climate change. Yesterday apparently, the whole NYPD had read Humas emails without a warrant. Now he's just literally spamming youtube shit - I'm pretty sure she did 9/11.
Its the Trump playbook - scream 400 things till people go "well, some of this must be true!". Like, sure the CIA didn't plan 9/11, but they probably let it happen... and no, the tower planes weren't missles thats stupid. Then pentagon one tho'...
Almost everything in the case against her only looks bad through a Frank / Brietbart lens. It's why even GOP media outlets are endorsing her, not because she owns the media, but because 99% of the shit against her is stuff like she wacked Vince Foster. On the flip side Paul Manafort actually on Yankokovichs payroll (100% confirmed) is no biggie.
Trump is flat out unqualified. He has zero ability to work across the aisle. He can't even work on his side of the aisle. The chance of major conflict in Ukraine or the Baltics goes way up under him. Thats beyond my own personal reasons which are more the social side - he'll put up, maybe, 3 Supreme court noms, all hard conservative. Gun laws, gay rights, racial issues, immigration, womens rights, prison reform, dug legalisation all get hit there - and not for 4 years, for 25 years. Thats why 30% of his vote is die hard christian conservatives who loathe him, but would marry satan if it repealed Roe v Wade. 90% of americans want gun laws tightened, almost 60% support gay marriage, only 20% of americans support banning abortion etc. He's socially going the wrong way on almost every issue.
On jobs & trade Trump is promising jobs that dont exist anywhere, not just in the US (digging coal by hand, manual car assembly), its an illusion & a lie.
Its too late to put up someone great. But they can vote in someone who wont criple the country (and damage the world) and focus on Ryan v... someone, in 2020.

This video by a Bernie / Hillary supporter breaks down and explains the Clinton Foundation corruption quite well. All supported by actual documentation.
MSM is basically ignoring it.A Hillary supporter? The same Hillary that you have pilloried as the establishment? This is the man that wishes to reach out to he 98% of people NOT in power - I'd not call that an establishment supporter. What is your rationale for suggesting he is a Hillary supporter?
As to the content it said squat. He wanked on about contributors not caring about the charitable causes (so what? Why should that in itself matter?), that Bill Clinton got paid for doing work (shock fucking horror) but not to bother mentioning that this work(speeches and shit) was all above board and declared. The whole thing was just a load of innuendo laced with outrage about the numbers involved.
At this point I have to declare that there may have been some sort of denouement at the end of the video. i don't know because i couldn't sit through any more of this blokes self-righteous bollocks.

I bit and clicked the link. I wish I hadn't. The piston wristed gibbon in the jacket just chunters on and on about emails that prove how dodgy "it" is without ever defining "it" or explaining what exactly the foundation has done wrong. He clearly doesn't understand how charitable trusts and foundations work, doesn't understand about endowments and restrictions on using principal funds or how this foundation is any different to any other philanthropic foundation. Because from what I can tell, and I've seen a few, it's not.
This is no different to the shit that the Gates Foundation gets, where people crawl out of the woodwork to criticise decisions made that don't align with what's right. And funnily enough the "right" decision usually means putting some of that cash into my trough.
Enough of this horseshit. The fact that something is on the innernet doesn't mean it's in any way true. If there are problems with the foundation, let's see some proper evidence, not some self-aggrandising nonsense from a bloke who thinks the ability to read and wildly speculate is the same thing as research.

Yes he is a Hilary supporter, the Young Turks are incredibly pro democrat and anit Trump.
I agree that he is a tosser though.

@Baron-Silas-Greenback I get that they are a liberal leaning unit but I don't see anything that leads to a support for Hillary. Happy to be corrected but I've not read or seen anything to support that.
-
I am not really interested in proving it to you, I have seen and read plenty from them that shows they support Clinton, if you choose not believe that, no problem.
btw The guy from Rubin report used to be tight with those guys, but now they really don't get along... but I am not going to prove that either.
