That is one hell of a result for Napier OB Marist.
I was informed that Gareth Evans appeared for Havelock North.
Evans also scored a try for them!
And Jonah Lowe scored a hat-trick for Clive. 7 tries in two games.

Watched Hastings RS v Clive, 3rd vs 2nd going into the round.
Hastings RS won 38-25.
Clive scored after just ten seconds straight from the kickoff, their flanker caught the tap down and just ran on to score between the posts.
Mason Emerson scored two tries for Hastings RS in the second half. The first was an outstanding solo try when the Hastings fullback caught a kick outside his 22, passed the ball to Emerson who ran across field and ended up going down the right sideline and around the Clive fullback untouched to score in the corner.
Jonah Lowe did not play for Clive - he apparently was in Wellington with the Hurricanes who are in camp during their bye weekend.
I was impressed with Clive and Shield Snorters hooker Jorian Tangaere.

Just for you Stockcar86 ....
Went to Park Island to watch the top of the table clash between Napier OB Marist and Hastings RS, first versus second going into the round.
A comfortable but deserved win to Napier OB Marist 31-7, five tries to one. It was 12-7 at halftime, so Hastings RS were scoreless in the second half.
I was impressed with the NOB Marist halfback Zac Donaldson (played the whole game even though Ellery Wilson was there) and openside flanker Chris Johnston.
Mason Emerson played for Hastings RS at centre. He hardly saw the ball at all. If he played on his normal position at wing he would have received even less ball.
There was a sad moment in the first half when the NOBMarist loosehead prop got smashed in a double tackle and you could hear a "pop" in the stand - the poor guy seems to have broken a leg or something.
The ref immediately stopped the game and there was a five minute delay before the game was taken over to the adjoining field and restarted, while the poor prop was kept still on the ground until the ambulance arrived..

Napier Tech 87 - Hastings R&S 7Tim Farrell's ankle injury at the U20's must have not been too serious as he played for the Texans.
Tim Farrell:
"It was definitely frustrating not being there and it's hard letting everybody know the reasons behind it. I had a four-week injury which turned out to be a two-week one. But I'm still in the photo and hopefully I will get a medal." The Altherm Window Systems Napier Technical club player, who turns 19 on Friday, said being part of the initial stages of the Baby Blacks campaign has made him more determined to try and make next year's Baby Blacks team.
Farrell said he was stoked to begin his comeback with 45 minutes during the Texans' 38-7 win against Ansin & Monteith Hastings Rugby and Sports on Saturday. "That was my first premier game and it was good to play alongside players I watched when I was coming through college rugby like Cracker [Mark Braidwood]." A part-time geography and environmental studies student at Victoria University in Wellington in between his rugby commitments, Farrell, has an exam in the capital on Saturday morning but hopes to return to Napier in time for the Texans top-of-table match against unbeaten defending championships Shield Snorters Insurances Limited Napier Old Boys Marist. "Hopefully I can play well in the remaining club matches this season and earn some minutes for the Shield Snorters come Mitre 10 Cup time," he added.

This annoys the hell out of me. Rugby is, and should be, a great sport to play and to watch, but it's idiots that spoil it for everyone with their misbehaviour.

There was a match I watched at Elwood Park a couple of years ago - obviously Hastings RS against somebody whom I now can't remember.
The match was drawing to a close, when the Hastings RS coach made the comment to the players and management around him, "Geez it must be close to fulltime now."
Then literally three seconds later some qc (rhymes with deer hunt) on the sideline a couple of places away from the coach starts yelling out "Come on ref, blow the final whistle." And proceeded to yell it out three or four more times over the next couple of minutes.
There is no ground clock at Elwood Park so the guy on the sideline had no clue of exactly how much time was left to go, or if the coach was right or wrong, but still just nutted off because the coach had passed an innocent comment about the referee.
