Super Rugby Boards

After reading the Blues V Sharks car crash, I am wondering how Super Rugby boards are put together in each of the 5 teams? All appointed by the NZRU or appointed by the NPC regions that "make up" the Super Rugby team?

This is from when the Blues structure changed in 2013
So you're pretty much screwed in getting changed at the right level. I imagine this is similar to all Super Rugby teams?

I think other franchises have similar setups
Even something as simple as changing the coach isn’t easy. The last celebrity coach was popular on a personal level. At one stage Auckland wanted him sacked and had no where near enough votes.
There’s been rumours of childish friction between the Blues and ARU that doesn’t helpIn terms of getting change? Most people seem apathetic so there is no real pressure. At least there’s some negative media coverage of the board, the coach has too many fanboys in the media that refuse to criticise him.
People like to talk about ‘lack of accountability’ about this organisation. It is correct. Zero accountability for the celebrity coach, hardly any for the board, hardly any for the other failing members of the support staff. The players are the bottom of the totem poll, they come and go, the same bigger problems persist.

It essentially means you just have to get lucky!

I suspect you have to have the powers that be get worried about the money. If revenues drop, then the owners are losing money. That tends to focus things (except if the owner is paying for celebrity, which many European football and US baseball ones are).
