    Would have thought should be higher.<br />
    <br />
    But I know plenty who old struggle doing that and they're not all fat barstards either<br />

    I know you'd piss through that fitness "testing" dude <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/knuppel2.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':knuppel:' /> amongst other things he's very much into living like cavemen did to prolong our lives in the long run. Sure we don't exactly have to ward off Mammoths and Sabre Tooth tigers but his examples of modern mans reliance on fast food and stressful yet sedentary lifestyles are a real eye opener to be honest.

    And I wouldn't consider myself overly fit either.

    How old is the book? If it was written any time in the last 20 years then he probably had to revise standards...<br />
    <br />
    12 pull ups is the killer for a lot of people.<br />
    <br />
    And is there an aerobic (running) component? Surely the ability to run to/from danger is the key survival mechanism

    Haven't found anything on running but the book was only published in late 2011 !!!! You're dead right though NTA, Pull ups are an absolute prick. I'm aiming for 20 "genuine" ones ( no kipping, arms fully extended ) and have stagnated at 15-16 depending on the day ( can probably crank out 20 dishonest ones though ). TR sent me a program though so will attack that with great gusto given my recent penchant for bodyweight only stuff ( haven't touched weights in weeks but feel in decent shape )

    I went for my first proper run in 4 weeks on Sat, oddly I hit a PB for the route, but man it was hard and my legs are still sore today...so I'd only need to be able to run for longer than you fellas to survive the wooly mammoth/zombie attack <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> <br />
    <br />
    As to the test in the thread opener, I can nail all those except the pull ups...is there time limits or just unbroken?

    Because life expectancy back then was so good.<br />
    <br />
    Eating well is relatively simple; cut out added sugars, ensure your carbs have fibre, get adequate good fat and protein.
