Protein shakes
-
Yeah they are pretty bloody good and I think I need to see if I can get some in bulk to cut the cost....
<br />
<br />
They do sell them in boxes on the Aussie Bodies website (aussiebodies.com.au) but it is out of order at the moment. The online store that is.<br />
<br />
They are certainly not cheap. -
Dragging up this old tread again...<br />
<br />
Longer distance running makes you lose muscle mass right?<br />
If so, would protein shakes help keep it on?<br />
If anyone's got some insight that would be great.<br />
<br />
I'm thinking of doing a half marathon in August and have to start training. -

He couldn't remember what it was called, but he said it was herbal (apparently), and helped increase the amount of fat cells you burnt. I think there quite common.<br />

If you go into a health food/vitamin shop they should have something nicknamed "Cuts" which supposedly prevents fat from being digested as well as encouraging your body to metabolise it as the first energy source. I tried it in my youth but didn't notice a difference really, though you may get different results. -
Here's some<br />

Thermo DynamX actually works by increasing your body’s metabolism so you burn more calories. It acts on the receptors that determine metabolic rate and temperature and amps them up so that you not only burn more energy while you exercise, you'll burn fat while you go about your normal day to day activities! It truly is your 'total body transformation solution' and results are guaranteed. -

I tried a sampler the other day for this stuff called WheyGourmet - it tastes fucking awesome but is a bit pricey.<br />

<br />
Not really a protein shake and I'm not sure if it's available in NZ or OZ but Nutrilet is what I drink. It's high in protein and low in fat so is perfect for the fatties. Personally I think it tastes good and is excellent to have if I'm feeling peckish. -

They will probably have something similar Rancid - can you post up the profile of the drink (protein, fat and carbs per 100g) and manufacturer? Might also be worth listing ingredients if you could....<br />

<br />
No probs. It's in Norwegian but pretty easy to read:Â http://www.nutrilett.no/sw3461.asp<br />
