@Rancid-Schnitzel he had a crack at "more recent Labor policy" in a statement about the death of one of our greatest ever PMs.
From Keating's statement...
"In what was our last collaboration, Bob and I were delighted to support Bill Shorten last week in recounting the rationale we employed in opening Australia to the world. "Bob, of course, was hoping for a Labor victory this weekend. His friends too, were hoping he would see this.
He could have just said I was happy to see Bob last month.
It has to be about Keating.

It's hilarious how everyone hyperventilates about the bias of the privately owned Murdoch media, yet this tweet is a classic example of the astonishing bias of the taxpayer funded media. And people like this have the gall to accuse a guy like Trump of lowering the tone. Pot kettle black.
-
@NTA you are reading into this way too much.
Both sides have politicised it and dare I say it is sort of fitting for a political animal like Hawke.
-
@NTA Have you seen the Getup! instruction pamphlet on removing Abbott? It's pretty crazy, got sent to me a few weeks back, I'll have to have a dig around for it. A little concerning considering the foreign backers. I can understand why supporters who might not be so familiar with political skullduggery could be freaking out.

I have not. The getup thing looks bizarre* - no direct support but running almost guerrilla campaigns in key seats to take out Libs.
Personally would rather they'd ping Clive Palmer and Pauline Hanson. The potential they have to hold power in the senate is facepalm squared.
*More bizarre was "Captain Getup" by Advance Australia, rubbing up against a Zali Steggal Billboard. Another guerrilla campaign.

Vicious and unpleasant rant but I don't get the comparison with media bias.

She works for SBS. Like the equally biased ABC, it is a taxpayer funded media outlet.

I think you’ll find she retired quite a while back and even when there she was just a newsreader reading someone else’s words. No editorial input.

Jumping at shadows? No, just stating facts. If you seriously think SBS isn't biased then I'm sure you believe Fox News is actually fair and balanced.

Well went off to cast a blank ballot paper. God that senate ballot paper is ridiculous.
Voting locations are always great though. Everyone is polite and in good spirits. It makes you proud of democracy and what we have. It's so far removed from the bile and hate on Twitter, SBS and the rest of the media.

Greens supporters always look angry for some reason.
Probably because their Dear Leader appears to try eating meat in a pathetic attempt to not look completely unAustralian. Can't even eat a sausage sanger properly. And I expect it's a meat substitute.

Maybe so but that is an unrelated comment to the tweet you jumped all over.
An ex SBS autocue reader posts a nasty tweet and that proves bias from the channel? Yeah right.
