@Baron-Silas-Greenback
She did and went on to explain to kids that the Easter bunny was very busy this year so don’t be disappointed if he doesn’t get around everywhereSuggested kids draw an Easter egg and put in their window so the neighbourhood kids could have an Easter egg hunt
She’s bloody good at that stuff

Who knew a degree in communications would come in so handy?

@Toddy Richie Mo'unga is the only one they recognised. He didn't really train with the rest, but touched the ball they were training with once and that's enough for spreading a virus.
Looking at the video in this article, Isi Tu'ungafasi and Andrew Makalio are among them, too. Don't recognise the rest, because many of them have shaved their hair off.
3 bubbles of idiots.

It appears that the Christchurch Cougher has form
Forced sterilisation and a few months work as a police dog training dummy would seem appropriate
Save time by doing both at once?!

Seems harsh. He already has to live in Christchurch.
Hey, come on now, it's not like it's Waimate here...

Why did they change which countries they are comparing to half way through the article, and then change again?? Makes you think they are cherry picking to suit their own narrative.
But even so, I dont think anyone argues that locking down the country has helped stop the spread, the question should have been 'at what cost'? Compared to normal death rates etc etc. This is pretty facile analysis and cheerleader journalism. I dont think anyone in the country would argue that locking everyone in thier houses for 4 weeks would slow the spread.
And any author that has this bio makes me think they have an agenda,,,
"Marc Daalder is a political reporter based in Wellington who covers climate change, energy, primary industries, technology and the far-right"The far right? Why not the far left as well? I am willing to bet this guy is more of an activist than a journalist.

@Baron-Silas-Greenback lol post some breitbart articles instead for balance
-
@Machpants
Have some of you got on a whatspp message group or something on how to be petty bitches? I have no idea where this Breitbart thing has come from, but you are the 3rd person to mention it in the last day or so.Is it supposed to be an insult or something? I think I have been to Breitbart only a handful of times, not that I think there is anything wrong with it, and you are your mates obsession with it has made me think I should go there to have a look.

Is this cheerleading, or journalism?
Strong results at this point, no doubt. Although the author lost me at the first line with the comparison of - "Newsroom has compared New Zealand's response to that of six other countries that are similar in size, population, culture and region".
Um yeah, ok.

It's just that fact that any discussion on CV quickly becomes left vs right, "more of an activist than a jounralist". That's bollocks, bringing politics into this. How about you bring facts rather than political bias? Fair enough, a lot of posters on this forum are right wing, and I violently disagree with them (I pay money to The Guardian) but I don't go into the politics threads for that reason. No point, I wanna talk about rugby. But really if it is OK to bring blatant political bias (arguing the political leaning of the author rather than the facts) then we might as well go all Breitbart.
Anyway time for me to take a holiday from here.

Misquoting an article doesn't do your argument any good.
