Just got Movies added for free to Foxtel after threatening to cancel the entire service.
So the wife and I watched a few things, nothing really worth noting except...
A movie I've watched at least half a dozen times but it had been a few years since last viewing and one that is definitely in my top 10 list, Groundhog Day.
Absolute brilliance and still holds up today. A master class by Bill Murray, just nails it.
Don't need the movie. We are living in it.

Skyfall.
Still my favourite Bond film of all time (controversy!). Fantastic opening scene, excellent villain, great use of legendary London spots and then the majestic Scottish Highlands for the final stanza. Not too silly on the gadgets, and the Aston.
And lets not forget Mallory's trousers.
4.5 shaken out of 5 stirred.

Mad Max is on Sky Ch 32 tonight so my evening viewing is sorted.
Quality viewing for the apocalypse.

So after watching Mad Max for the first time in over 20 years it is definitely a movie of its time and very dated now. I know it has achieved cult status but I seem to remember I liked the sequel more. Sky is showing that and Beyond Thunderdome over the next 2 weeks so I look forward to those.

Yeah, Mad Max 2 is the best one, IMO.

It doesn't suffer anywhere nearly as bad from the amateur editing and stunt cinematography.
