Not so much heathen as philistine!
Admittedly I don't expect people to know the two Indian language movies in 5 and 6! Never heard of them either
I'll wear it. Though IMO any "mens" movie list that doesn't include Draft Day or the Replacements doesn't stack up...

I've only heard of Das Boot and Raging Bull. So not #1, #2 and #5
Das Boot is amazing. Well worth a watch.
In terms of a review, watched Chef with Jon Favreau last night (2014). Solid entertainment, quite enjoyable. Hit the right notes, some decent casting, well worth a watch for light entertainment. The food is soft core porn at times; got hungry watching.

I've seen Chef at least 10x. Love it. Almost made me go and buy some corn starch for my balls...

Draft Day
is that good?
I love it. It's a little bit absurd, but it's good fun. I've watched it all the way through a bunch of times, will always watch it if I stumble across it

His Netflix cooking show with Roy Choi was inspired by the movie and is quite good too

Watched Oceans 13 last night. Totally predictable, but I always like the retro 70s look of the films, top cast and they are always decked out well. An enjoyable film that doesn't make you work hard. 4 heart attacks out of 5 cougar attracting pheromone patches

The Gilroy!
I love the Oceans movies sans the Sandra Bullock one. Have all three on mysky and watch them often.
I have never watched the original though even though I saw it was on the other day.

The Sinatra original you mean? Yes they do look a lot of fun; just an excuse to work a bit, get paid well and hang out in Vegas for a while. I remember reading about the original Sinatra film, the Rat Pack just took over Vegas for a while. Shooting the movie during the day, shows at night, generally drinking and socialising late into the morning.
Oh and special mention to Ellen Barkin who looked smokin'

I've been doing a rewatch of them all recently (but a bit at a time rather than in big chunks).
Have you watched Logan Lucky which is basically a redneck Oceans movie?

Funny that you mention the director to me as I wouldn't have a scooby who he is or any director for that matter

I guess I just assumed you'd know who he was from the Oceans movies.
He's one of my favourite directors, even made Clive Owen kind of watchable in the tv show The knick.
