@voodoo your mate to start with, the directive was to stay at your primary address, not go stay at a motel, and as you say, how many more have done similar
but on a broader sense several of the clusters have been traced to family groups congregating in large groups for parties etc

Well no, he is from NSW, he has all his family there, and a house to reside at. NSA - folk were given warning of the border closing at a particular time and the opportunity to return prior. If they truly intended to make everyone stay put, they'd have not given a deadline to cross the border

I think you failed to make that clear. I thought he was a Victorian too

Right, fair enough then 😬

@antipodean I had an eye test earlier today, been booked for a few weeks. It was like Christmas Eve around the shops. The supermarket was ridiculous.
Sure school holidays usually means a few more people out, but a lot of people had that Armageddon look on their faces and the trolley full to match it.

@voodoo yeah, sorry for that, when you said you messaged a mate in Vic who was now in a motel in NSW i thought you meant they were a Victorian who was hiding over the border
My bad mate!

@mariner4life There is no worse type of person than the self described social media influencer.
Being ‘famous’ and an ‘influencer’ online is like being rich in Monopoly. It’s not real.
You played your kids yet?
Fucking real it is!

Ends in tears every time , just a disaster

Did something change in Melbourne quarantine?
Well the whole shagging thing with security guards and potential Coviders (is that a word?) probably wasn't a great way to contain it, or any other infectious diseases really, but who am I to judge?

@booboo I’ve never lost a game of Monopoly....when I didn’t pack the game away early

I on the other hand always assumed the role of the bank when playing with my brothers. Even then I still couldn't beat them.

Almost 300 new cases in Melbourne today, and now a few popping up in Sydney.
I've got a baaaad feeling about this.
You’ve got toilet paper in the house? You’ll be fine....😉
Significant testing going on so I’m not too surprised at increased numbers given what we know about transmission. Containment is the critical thing the restrictions will hopefully assist there.

A mate and went in for lunch at a restaurant in the city, had to do the covid QR code sign in, but once inside it was jam packed, we eventually just got up and left before they took our order, partly due to the lack of any social distancing and partly due to the annoying voice of the woman right next to us (due to no social distancing).
I've got TP, but I'm going to re-stock all my non perishable foods that I started eating mid lockdown because I was too lazy to cook.

Good thing our charity day is on tomorrow, because I think Rugby season is going to be canned in the next 4 weeks.

I think we were pretty lucky last time round to avoid community spread, hopefully it hasn't already gotten into NSW.
Although, TBH I wouldn't mind if I had to return to working from home. At my office we lease class rooms to a sister school that does VET courses and they're coming back to class next week. Positive - they're fitness and yoga students so the chicks are mostly in active wear, negative - they're fitness students and the guys are fucking disgusting in the toilets, it's like they all grew up feral and don't know how to lift a seat, aim in bowl, or know what a toilet brush is for.
We did buy yellow police tape to block off areas - my office is surrounded in it.
