@booboo The Kiwi rock band I've seen the most. RIP Wayne.
This was huge for about 5 minutes when I was at Uni.
I remember the cheesy video.
Couldn't remember the name of the band or the song so was googling 'Hamilton rock band' and 'you don't love me Hamilton' and similar searches.
There's a stage show on Disney Plus did you know?
Never heard them again.

This was filmed at the Meremere power station.
Knightshade were the main hard rock act in Hamilton from the late 80s to mid-90s and also opened for a lot of international bands during that period. They released other singles and those videos are also on youtube. I was at their sold-out final concert in Aug 2016 in Hamilton.

I remember them from 1983 playing Hamilton quite a bit (lady H and Hillcrest). I knew they were from TePuke so maybe they hadn’t moved by then.

@Crucial I am not entirely sure when they based themselves permanently in Hamilton but there is 1h of footage from a 1986 concert at the Hilly on YT. You might have been there, sadly I was too young.
No. I had left by then.
They were certainly playing around the Tron in 83 because they were seen as the ‘dinosaurs’ on the scene. I used to do sound for another band and their sound guy was Lawrence from the PA hire place (Musicare?). It was sometimes a battle to get the good equipment if they were playing as he’d be able to cherrypick it. -
@mariner4life I might get on it like I did the last one eh. Sunday is free.

A thing well made. Another legendary Don McGlashan effort.
Absolute belter. Someone may mention this further on in this thread but I'll do a booboo and mention it now anyway - Mutton Birds cover of the Sneaky Feelings' "Not To Take Sides" is lovely with McGlashan's achy vocals.
