I do find whenever in a discussion, that when you point out facts, they are generally accepted as long as pointed out in raw form. Either that or everybody thinks I'm a racist and isn't prepared to say so ...
About 10 years ago I did an OU history essay on the start of the 1st World War in NZ & linked to primary sources showing NZ's concern about German antipathy to the Samoan culture.
I was marked down by my tutor and told not to use any facts which "showed colonialism in a good light"
I'm a racist too...

It would be a good day when we could set aside the identity conflation and look at the real issue.
But too many Equality & Diversity Officers in Universities, Government and Local Councils would lose their jobs.

Scroll down for hilarity.PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The mayor of Portland, Oregon, was tear gassed by the U.S. government late Wednesday as he stood at a fence guarding a federal courthouse during another night of protest against the presence of federal agents sent by President Donald Trump to quell unrest in the city.
Mayor Ted Wheeler, a Democrat, said it was the first time he’d been tear gassed and appeared slightly dazed and coughed as he put on a pair of goggles someone handed him and drank water. He didn’t leave his spot at the front, however, and continued to take gas. Around Wheeler, the protest raged, with demonstrators lighting a large fire in the space between the fence and the Mark O. Hatfield Federal Courthouse and the pop-pop-pop of federal agents deploying tear gas and stun grenades into the crowd.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the federal agents knew Wheeler was in the crowd when they used the tear gas.

Titania's things that are racist thread is absolutely superb
Epic thread that. I was laughing along heartily at the beginning. By the middle, I was exhausted. By the end, I was utterly depressed.

Right - so this clip of the Oxford leader of BLM has gained a fair bit of traction here. There is little doubt that the official BLM push here in the UK has completely derailed. However, I can't help wonder if real good will come on this.
My view has always been, that this is a real opportunity for REAL Black Leadership to step up. This is not isolated and And I think it's a great opportunity for David Lammy. Now, I have been an outspoken critic of his, but to his credit, he has centred his viewpoints somewhat since Corbyn got put to pasture, and is really starting to talk some sense. If he plays his cards right, he could pick up a lot of vote and potentially find himself leader of the Labour party.
Interesting times ahead, and not one completely devoid of hope.

I’m quite pro Hamilton in and ever anti Hamilton world but I’m not a fan of this.
how about move back to the UK and pay some tax Lewis? That might help equality a bit.

What is there to inspire a half black child to F1 and dissuade him from thinking it's just for rich white people? It's not like there's a six time world champion currently racing.
-
the only colour the entire F1 industry cares about is green

Exactly.
Is F1 racist?
Or do the myriad non-white wealthy choose to spend their vast fortunes elsewhere?

@MajorRage said in Black Lives Matter:
He's basically trying to dictate how the entire F1 industry should think.
He’s often seemed quite fond of telling people how good his ideas are. Fashion, exercise, diet, now racism. Love him as a driver but I really wish he’d keep his gob shut. A bit like Mansell, loved him as a driver but really wished he wasn’t such a complete fluffybunny.
