Movie review thread...

I had no idea that there was to be a Matrix 4, or that the Fast and Furious were up to #9!!!

Waves
I pretty much got dragged to this by the other half and it was for the sake of going to the movies which we haven't done for ages for obvious reasons. Really thought provoking, particularly for those of us who are Parents on here. Not a huge amount of dialogue at times but brilliantly made, you always know exactly what is going on.
It's the kind of movie which will absolutely clean up at the Oscars next year, if they have them.
Bloody hard to give a standard fern review out of 5 but I definitely recommend it.

None of this is good news in the slightest.
I've managed to go my whole life without seeing a single Fast and Furious movie, I doubt the 9th installment will make me change my mind.

at the very least Hobbs and Shaw is one of the more fun action movies of recent times

I doubt the Rock can match the chemistry he had with SLJ in the Other guys

'Looks like someone wrote a slightly boring militarized rescue film and the pitch wasn't going well, so they added lions.'
So are they saying that like it's a bad thing?

Megan Fox, guns and a killer Lion. You're welcome.
All I got from that video was Megan Fox yelling "Get Down" - and then I yelled "yes ma'am, yes please", and my forehead hit the desk, and... anyway... was the rest of the trailer any good?

Snatch.
Cracking film, which does an excellent job of highlighting the good points about living in Britain.
All jokes aside it really a masterpiece this film. Full of excellent dialogue, brilliant storyline and Brad Pitt's finest hour

@Kirwan it’s a modern shitter version of The Ghost & The Darkness.
That's the movie name I was trying to remember. How do you know it's shit? It may be a modern masterpiece.

Massive call. Lock Stock is also all sorts of outstanding.
It's a shame the genre spawned so many poor imitations.

@MN5 equally big call as I think you’re forgetting about a little film called Swept Away...
Fuck he’s made some shit as well. Revolver was a steaming pile or surreal horse shit and King Arthur has no redeeming features. That’s latest one was a welcome return to what he does best. British gangsters in Britain.

Never heard of it but it's on this list.....
Mind you so is Showgirls which is a fantastic movie. Gina Gershon has never been better.

Even by Ritchie himself!
