@canefan they daisy chain appears to be very inclusive though, anyone can join in,any order etc. I dont like group work though
Decisions by committee don't end well as a rule.

It's symbiotic

@r-l I was referring to your post in the meme thread which had a little more "connection".

My wife had an abnormal result on a smear test. Got the dreaded call from the doctor instead of a text.
A closer look shows she has a lesion on her cervix that has 'high grade cell changes', which are pre-cancerous. She will need part of her cervix removed to get rid of it, and then regular tests to confirm they are all gone.
While the whole thing has been stressful, we are both incredibly grateful that it was picked up before it developed further. Cancer really is a fucking bitch.
If any ladies read this (including the hot Polish chicks), get your smears, they are genuine life savers.
-
@no-quarter Jesus, glad to hear your picked it up relatively early but still all the best as I’m sure it’s still not easy
-
@no-quarter same sentiments as @Kiwiwomble - great that it was caught early. Cancer really is a cast iron fucker aye. All the best as the missus gets treatment. Echo the call to get checked out.
-
@no-quarter so sorry to hear this!! You are right, this is why smears are so important. Wishing you both all the best.
-
@no-quarter so stink mate

Obviously horribly stressful news and so sorry you have to experience that, but great they caught it in time. Hope she has a speedy recovery and you guys can get on with your lives.

@no-quarter Not great news mate, but this isn't that uncommon. My wife had exactly the same thing a few years ago and has had no lasting repercussions. Last smear was around a month ago and she continues to have the all clear.

Thanks mate, we are definitely of the outlook that this is good news rather than bad as we appear to have caught it before it could develop. Feeling really grateful overall that she got the test, and that we live in a country where we can easily get the required treatment.
@MajorRage thanks for sharing, the doctor was saying the same thing - the procedure is low risk and then it's just a matter of more regular tests to confirm we are clear.
Things like this do affect your outlook on life a bit though. You just never know what is around the corner.

@no-quarter Wife had a scare about a year ago. Similar thing, but she is fine, no operation. It frightens the shit out of you though.
Hope that it is all O.K.
I've had enough of cancer and @tim is working on fixing the fucker so it will all be fine I'm sure.

Looks like my sister's black Lab is heading to the other side in the next week or two. They will do the right thing by her but fuck those decisions are hard.
I think that she is 18. Incredible for a big dog and one of the most loved animals on the planet. If she were a human a cathedral would be full for her funeral.
