@victor-meldrew but a car accident death within 28 days is still a covid death? What about a suicide? Or a murder? (I can feel my blood pressure rising....🙂).
I don't expect you to look that up mate. I got a big night in front of the tele, best to leave it there😁
I think you are getting yourself worked up over not much here. Excess deaths are unequivocal proof that Covid is taking people early. The numbers are broadly in line, so its' just reality. How much life people are losing is a fair question, as the vast majority of deaths are elderly, ill & obese.

Spot on. The trouble comes when the media, conspiracy theorists, politicians and the like concentrate on the less relevant but easier to consume figures.

Not today but mate I will be asking you to explain that, honestly I don't understand the link you described. But I do have a cunning plan. I call it an "excess death" vaccine.😂
Seriously, I'd like some explanation of what you raised, at a later date. Cheers rage.

I don't know, mate. Have you ruled out a spate of people being hit by buses? The same group of people would be slower to get out of the way

Think we’ll see far less compliance based on The Hancock Affair.
Only have to say sorry now and it’s all good.

UK Ferners, do we reckon they'll actually reopen July 19th given the spread of the delta variant?
Hong Kong banning all UK passengers flights from July 1st as "high risk" is not a good sign...
Should they? Yes
Will they? NoMore people died in the Miami building collapse than have in Wales since 23 May
It's a joke

23,000 cases today. Political pressure must be ready to go up in a big way. Sigh.
BBC live stream

Sajid Javid says he sees "no reason to go beyond 19 July" with coronavirus restrictions."In truth, no date we choose comes with zero risk for Covid - we know we cannot simply eliminate it, we have to learn to live with it," he says.
"People and businesses need certainty, so we want every step to be irreversible", he says.
"The restrictions on our freedoms must come to an end, we owe it to the British people who have sacrificed so much to restore their freedoms as quickly as we possibly can, and not to wait a moment longer than we need to."
17:31
Will 19 July be the end of all restrictions?Lucy Allan MP asks Sajid Javid to confirm that 19 July will mark the end of the roadmap - that terminus means "the end of the line, not an interchange", and that all restrictions will stop on that date.
Javid says: "It is absolutely our intention to have step four commence on 19 July and remove restrictions and start returning to normal."
He adds that "as we follow the data in the coming days we will set out more in due course".
Same shit different turd

TBH Mike, I don't see much wrong with what Javid is saying. For sure it's potentially very disappointing, but I can't see how they can give a definitive answer to any of those questions. In fact I'd be more sceptical and/or worried if he was saying anything concrete.
