Yeah haven't looked at that too much yet.

Amazing ay!
Possibly the first time that I have been impressed with a bureaucratic process.

Resurgence subsidy tomorrow
Opens tomorrow. Can't do that until we have been lvl 4 for a week as I read it.
"When applying for the RSP, the start date of the 7-day period where your business or organisation has experienced a drop in revenue is the date the increase in the alert level started."
A few other pedantic technicalities that may not apply to you.

We’ll, after 4 pretty shit months, things are a bit up here. Although it was totally depressing to read @MajorRage ’s post that MIQ in NZ is shutdown for the foreseeable, I still had a pretty fantastic day.
Thanks to @MajorRage and @MN5 and @Paekakboyz for the messages from my last post ( @taniwharugby most likely also posted something nice) , after which I tried to have a think about whether I wanted to pull the chain - or not - and right now the answer is no.
So, I’ve been making more of an effort with my wife and things are better, if not exactly good.
We’d usually be in Europe right now visiting friends, but instead, we’re in Okinawa for a week, and, it’s heaven.
Travel was easy, rental car service was excellent (upgraded too), and we arrived to a nice apartment hotel 5 minutes from the beach, with a garlic shrimp joint just down the hill, and an apartment with a sea view and fine weather.
I spent an hour in the pool with my boy and tomorrow will be beach, pool, beer, snooze, repeat then add shrimp and wine on top in the evening.
Rinse-repeat for a week.
So, fuck COVID in a big way, but for the first time in quite a while, things feel a bit better.
I was honestly happy that I’m living here today, for the first time in quite some time - there were about 4000 cases around our joint today but we are still able to travel and have an actual summer holiday and the mental-health value of that can’t be overstated.

@gt12 I’ve read it’s wonderful, but far enough off pitch it requires its own separate visit (as opposed to mainland)?
It’s about 3 hours from Tokyo (Haneda) so many of my European friends have added a few days to their trips, but most of them come for 3 weeks to a month, so 4 days of that is t such a big deal. To do it and see the other islands (Miyakojima, Ishigaki), I’d say that a 10-12 day Okinawa only trip would be needed, but that’s a long time to eat SPAM and drink Orion (its like a mini Hawaii here). 3-4 days would give enough of the flavor of the place.
Having said that, we came to this spot because we are thinking of buying land around here and retiring here rather than in NZ. So, I could be in for a fucking lot of SPAM burgers.
If you do visit btw, Ishigaki is fucking awesome, and I have friends in Amami (between here and Nagasaki) right now and they say its better than Okinawa.

Having done the Ryuku Islands from Hateruma up I can vouch for that. Amami is awesome, relaxing and beautiful without the gross tourism of Okinawa.

@gt12 brilliant mate, great to hear.
I'm also contemplating a mini-break to get out of the monotony. Given current restrictions, probably more like a day trip. Nothing more than 5kms or so from home.
Tossing up between Bunnings (suck it @NTA 😎) or Woolies. Any suggestions from recent trips (good specials, favourite isles to peruse etc) welcome.

I did the paint aisle on Sunday. There was a young lady whose active wear pants were spray painted on. She was very athletic.
